Most of the upcoming LEGO Marvel sets have been found early and reviewed, offering a closer look at familiar minifigures for comparisons.
Eight new LEGO Marvel sets are just under a couple of weeks away, bringing with them plenty of new and appealing minifigures to collect, but some of these minifigures cover characters we've seen before in the theme. MiniSuperHeroesToday has taken a closer look at most of these new models, including some useful comparisons with these previous minifigures.
Here's a closer look at the new LEGO Marvel minifigures for Marvel Cinematic Universe's Ultron and Quicksilver, as well as the comic-inspired Kraven the Hunter.
MCU Ultron

As posited in the video, the old Ultron minifigure seems likely to be based on concept art, with jagged, melted armour rather than the more refined design with a humanoid face that we see in the Age of Ultron movie. The new minifigure finally fixes this, embracing the on-screen appearance in what is undoubtedly the most accurate MCU Ultron minifigure to date.
MCU Quicksilver

Whereas Ultron is a step forward for LEGO Marvel minifigures, Quicksilver is more of a step back in comparison. The character's second-ever minifigure features in
It doesn't greatly resemble Aaron Taylor-Johnson's likeness, just as it doesn't for Sebastian Stan. Compared to the old minifigure head, it's a definite downgrade for LEGO Quicksilver. At least the character will be more accessible a decade after the first minifigure was retired, though it's not exactly an upgrade like Ultron's is.
Comic Kraven the Hunter

The YouTuber also managed to find
There's also no leg printing on the new version, and the animal skin design for the belt on the torso is nowhere to be seen on the more recent minifigure. Otherwise, the torso still features the iconic big cat vest with a fur collar and bare chest. Kraven's changes aren't quite as significant as those of Ultron and Quicksilver, but it's worth keeping in mind as we near the release date.
