LEGO Marvel dips into PlayStation Spider-Man games, again

LEGO Marvel 76329 Miles Morales' Mask is another instance of the theme dipping briefly into the PlayStation games, but this time more tangibly.

The official reveal of 76329 Miles Morales' Mask this week may have prompted early comparisons to 76285 Spider-Man's Mask, but the 2025 model differs in one important way – its box art. The original LEGO mask model features the iconic yellow and red Spider-Man logo, whereas 76329 Miles Morales' Mask draws from a specific source material never widely realised in LEGO form, so far.

Looking closely at the Miles Morales lettering on 76329 Miles Morales' Mask's box reveals a striking resemblance to the logo for the Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game. It's not just a resemblance, though; they're the same, and this particular logo has only ever been used for the game.

The LEGO Group's experience with the popular Marvel game series is limited to a couple of convention-exclusive, limited-edition minifigures based specifically on the first and second games, as well as an homage to the Advanced Suit in 76308 Spider-Man Mech vs. Anti-Venom.

The fact that the new mask model uses the logo specifically from the game on the box art heavily suggests that 76329 Miles Morales' Mask, but the lack of distinct features on the in-game mask makes it hard to say for certain.

This is not like the Venom and Carnage head models, which were released at the same time as the first two Venom films, but did not use the same logo as the movies themselves.

Whether this is a sign that the LEGO Group has become more open to making models based on the games, with the news that a third game is seemingly in the works, is unknown at this stage, but it's unlikely that this logo was selected and approved for use without anyone behind the scenes making the connection.

LEGO Marvel 76329 Miles Morales’ Mask will be available to buy from July 1, retailing for £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99. The introduction in the instructions for the build may shine some light on its specific source material, provided it's not just based on the overall character of Miles Morales.
