With March around the corner, here's a round-up of everything you need to know about the highs and lows in the LEGO March releases.
March is a big month for LEGO releases and, unlike the last few months, all the sets are dropping on the same day: March 1. That's quite the overwhelming shopping day, but never fear – Brick Fanatics is here. We've rounded up everything you need to know about the good, the bad, and the still-undecided LEGO sets that are about to hit shelves.
76330 Batman Logo

The LEGO DC design team must have been paying close attention to what their Marvel and Star Wars colleagues were doing while creating 76330 Batman Logo. Not only does the 678-piece model build on previous such LEGO logo releases, but it also ups the game for what fan might expect from any potential similar future releases and delivers an impressive package all for £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99.
In addition to a textured ‘greebles’ surface that packs in a Batcave’s worth of references to the Dark’s Knight’s 70-plus-year history, 76330 Batman Logo also includes two Batman minifigures (one of which is a stunning golden variant), a printed 20 th anniversary coin and a unique unlock code for the upcoming LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
“Of the recent spate of buildable logos, this is probably the most interesting. The build isn’t as in-depth as the Marvel or Star Wars ones were. But the textured surface is a fun way to make the mass of black more exciting.”
BricksFanz
| Pros of 76330 Batman Logo | Cons of 76330 Batman Logo |
|---|---|
| Packed with surprising surface detail | Some Easter eggs are more obvious than others |
| Exclusive golden Batman minifigure | Attaching greebles slows down the building process |
| Better price than similar LEGO logos | Items on the front of the model can be knocked off easily |
Our verdict: A fitting celebration of 20 years of the LEGO Dark Knight, delivering a perfect one-two punch of impressive building techniques and a spot-on price.
40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure

The latest brick-built character to be enlarged to massive proportions is 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure, a 793-piece LEGO exclusive set priced at £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99. The model follows the tried-and-tested assembly techniques of similar past releases, adding in a set of brick-built oxygen tanks to complete the look of the fan-favourite LEGO Classic Space minifigure.
In fact, the only factor that really lets 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure down is a lack of a matching blue astronaut minifigure to accompany the set, but at least the model does include a tiny robot companion to place inside the larger character’s control room head.
“We cannot escape some technical missteps here, such as the large injection point present on the belly of the figure or the noticeable difference in shade between the different blue pieces, but we all know here that no one will complain and that this product will very quickly find its audience among LEGO fans.”
Hoth Bricks
| Pros of 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure | Cons of 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure |
|---|---|
| Highly-anticipated up-scaled version of a fan favourite | No matching blue astronaut minifigure |
| Hidden control room in the minifigure’s helmet | Lacks ‘rocket’ mentioned in official set listing |
| Must-have addition to LEGO Classic Space fans collections | Could have been released with 40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut |
Our verdict: A thoroughly enjoyable and surprising build that will be an essential purchase for all LEGO Classic Space fans.
76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile / 76332 The Batman Batmobile / 76333 Batman & Robin Batmobile
Three new LEGO Batmobiles will be roaring into view on March 1, each of which offers up a different version of the Dark Knight’s many rides and wouldn’t look out of place in the LEGO Speed Champions theme. With 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile, fans are presented with a fresh and much more accurate take on the armoured movie vehicle, while 76332 The Batman Batmobile bests past iterations with the most faithful interpretation of the muscle car to date.
Finally, there’s 76333 Batman & Robin Batmobile, the first-ever brick-built variant of the crimefighting vehicle, one that includes an impressive George Clooney-inspired minifigure. All three Legendary Batmobile Collection sets also come with codes for unique DLC in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and are priced at a very reasonable £24.99 / $20.99 / €29.99.
“I'm quite happy with how these Batmobiles turned out! Disappointing that they only come with one figure but at least they put extra work into each. Love the new shoulder armour piece for BvS Bats. The Battinson mobile is definitely my favourite and a nice upgrade to the original.”
ToaPaul on reddit
| Pros of LEGO Batmobiles | Cons of LEGO Batmobiles |
|---|---|
| Affordable builds | Only one minifigure with each Batmobile |
| Updated versions of two cars and one new vehicle | Some minor scale issues |
| Include unique video game codes |
Our verdict: The LEGO DC design team has revisited and refined its approach to the Dark Knight’s car, and the results are solid upgrades and a welcome new addition to the Batcave garage.
77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car

Zooming into the LEGO Speed Champions theme in March 2026 is 77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car, a recreation of the real-life vehicle hitting the grid this year. Comprised of 201 pieces and retailing for £22.99 / $27.99 / €27.99, the upcoming racer boasts an eye-catching yellow, pink and blue livery and features an F1 ACADEMY minifigure that may well have been inspired by up-and-coming driver Esmee Kosterman.
In addition, 77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car also features printed Pirelli tyres, although the inclusion of quite a few fiddly stickers may not be to everyone’s liking. Those who pick up the LEGO Speed Champions set are unlikely to have few grumbles though, with the upcoming vehicle no doubt perfectly slotting into racing fans' existing collections.
“I’ve got all the F1 Speed Champions sets from this year, but it’s really nice to see a different formula represented by LEGO. Looking forward to the Apex and Audi cars, but this is a definite pick up for me.”

| Pros of 77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car | Cons of 77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car |
|---|---|
| Striking livery | Colour scheme may not be to everyone’s liking |
| First-ever LEGO F1 ACADEMY car | Quite a few small stickers |
| Should perfectly fit into the LEGO Speed Champions F1 line-up |
Our verdict: An impressive addition to the LEGO Speed Champions starting grid, delivering a colourful and unique vehicular build.
77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26

With the Audi team making its F1 debut in 2026, an accompanying LEGO Speed Champions set was almost a given. Enter 77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26, a 215-piece build priced at £22.99 / $27.99 / €27.99 that will undoubtedly catch the eyes of many racing fans looking to expand their brick-built starting line-ups.
77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 follows Formula 1’s new design regulations, with the LEGO Speed Champions model echoing those visual updates thanks to an aerodynamic rear fin and other elements, alongside printed Pirelli tyres, sponsor stickers and an Audi Formula 1 minifigure completing the streamlined build.
“Bit disappointing, it’s not even that accurate to the concept livery they revealed in November with the vertical Audi logo for some reason on the nose and the lack of coloured side pod intakes. I get that they design these months in advance and want them out by the time the new season starts, but I wish they waited a bit to be more accurate to the actual car.”
SupremeLeaderMatt on reddit
| Pros of 77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 | Cons of 77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 |
|---|---|
| First-ever LEGO Audi Formula 1 set | Grey pieces could have been silver to match the real car |
| Fairly accurate rendition of the real-life F1 car | Odd positioning of Audi logo on printed front slope |
| Updated design should be a draw for racing fans | Smaller rear wing feels like a slight downgrade |
Our verdict: The first-ever LEGO Audi Formula 1 set almost manages to match the look of its real-life counterpart – and adds a nod to updated F1 cars for 2026.
43300 Winnie the Pooh

LEGO Disney 43300 Winnie the Pooh celebrates 100 years of the character in style, with a buildable figure of Pooh complete with a pot of honey hiding two minifigures. The 1,399-piece model comes with a Pooh minifigure as well as Eeyore, and the larger figure’s limbs can move. There’s even a couple of Easter eggs to find across Pooh’s body.
Early reactions have praised the set, finding criticism mostly in the value, as the RRP is found to be somewhat too steep. It’s not too high, though, and the set is still highly recommended for Winnie the Pooh enthusiasts.
“LEGO continues to do a really good job with brick-built sculptures. I think this set displays super well, I highly recommend it. $150 is a little bit steep; I would have loved to see this more at $120. I’ll look out for a deal on this one, but it was such an enjoyable build and overall, it displays so good.”
Stud City
| Pros of 43300 Winnie the Pooh | Cons of 43300 Winnie the Pooh |
|---|---|
| Adorable, display-worthy build | Overall value is less than ideal |
| A fantastic celebration of Winnie the Pooh | Honey pot cannot be lifted up as advertised |
| Two great minifigures |
Our verdict: A great celebration of all things Winnie the Pooh for the 100th anniversary of the character.
11376 Ford Model T

11376 Ford Model T is the latest entry into LEGO Icons’ scaled vehicle range, representing an era of automotive history that is rarely seen in the portfolio. This vintage car recreation pays tribute to this era with authentic features. This includes a fold-back fabric roof and fold-down split windshield, as well as a crank to spin the fan.
11376 Ford Model T is an experimental addition to an iconic range, and it’s good to see the designers trying something so drastically new. Unfortunately, the experimental nature of this model means it’s not without its issues, such as an illegal technique that will likely cause damage over time.
“There is a certain charm to the finished model that I like a lot and, while it may not be everyone's cup of tea...I like what it brings to the table and how novel it is for the Icons range of cars."
Tiago Catarino
| Pros of 11376 Ford Model T | Cons of 11376 Ford Model T |
|---|---|
| Experimental and appreciated addition to a familiar range | The price is on the higher side, and a discount is advised |
| Well-executed visual design with unique functionality | An illegal LEGO building technique that may cause damage long-term |
| Multiple new pieces |
Our verdict: A unique new look for Icons cars – but perhaps hiding a problematic building technique.
11389 Project Hail Mary

The LEGO Group’s latest take on a more niche science fiction film is a model based on the upcoming adaptation of Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary novel. 11389 Project Hail Mary recreates the titular spaceship from the film, featuring two figures of the book’s key characters. It’s one of LEGO Icons’ most unique models so far.
The first reviews of 11389 Project Hail Mary have been nothing short of blown away by the build, praising the ingenious mechanism hidden in the heart of the build, and the display value the set offers. They do mention that while the price is great in the US, other regions are paying far too much for it.
“As a huge fan of the book, I was pleasantly surprised by this set. I never imagined we would receive a Project Hail Mary LEGO model, and I am genuinely delighted that it turned out this well.”
Brothers Brick
| Pros of 11389 Project Hail Mary | Cons of 11389 Project Hail Mary |
|---|---|
| Mind-blowing functionality | Disproportionate value outside the US |
| An amazing display piece | |
| Exclusive minifigure and decorations |
Our verdict: The first and likely only Project Hail Mary set captures the spirit of the story perfectly.
21366 Floating Sea Otters

21366 Floating Sea Otters is one-half of the adorable animal models launching next month in the fan-inspired theme. The 1,234-piece set recreates a serene scene of a mother otter floating on her back, with either a clam or a pup sitting on top. The animal is designed to be submerged in the LEGO water, all displayed on a stylish black base. You can even combine two of them to have a pair of otters holding hands.
Early impressions of 21366 Floating Sea Otters have been quick to compare the final model to the fan design, which opted for a much more cartoonish otter design, and one that wasn’t accurate to sea otters floating on their back. While it’s hard for reviews to overlook these stark differences, they result in satisfied impressions. They only criticise minor parts of the build and the price.
“When I saw the first product images of this set, I wasn't sure about it. I thought the otter was super flat and reminiscent of roadkill. Having built the set and actually looked at many sea otter images over the last week, it has definitely grown on me a little more.”
New Elementary
| Pros of 21366 Floating Sea Otters | Cons of 21366 Floating Sea Otters |
|---|---|
| It’s almost too cute, especially with the pup | The price is ultimately too high for the contents |
| An accurate depiction of sea otters | The newly high level of accuracy loses some of the original project’s charm |
| An appealing animal display on a stylish black base | Base build can look flat without the pup or something else on top |
Our verdict: Although clearly adorable, 21366 Floating Sea Otters is let down by a price that is higher than you would expect for such a build.
21376 Orange Cat

Few could have predicted quite how popular 21349 Tuxedo Cat would be, but it has proven enough of a hit to inspire a sequel build with no specific project as the inspiration. 21376 Orange Cat is the first set of its kind in LEGO Ideas, and the tuxedo cat fan designer still gets a cut of the sales to boot. It’s effectively a recoloured version of that first set, with some upgrades mixed in.
First impressions of 21376 Tuxedo Cat have been quick to praise the build, noting that it builds on the strong foundations of 21349 Tuxedo Cat and is generally a safe, but wise bet for a new LEGO set. Outside of early reviews, many are wondering if this LEGO cat is orange enough, or more of a muted brown.
“This set is tailor made for orange cat lovers, but it is also an outstanding Medium Nougat parts pack with more than 30 recolored elements. LEGO keeps the price aligned with the Tuxedo Cat while adding extra pieces, making this a strong value.”
Brothers Brick
| Pros of 21376 Orange Cat | Cons of 21376 Orange Cat |
|---|---|
| Builds on the success of the first LEGO cat – as well as a few upgrades compared to the first set | It won’t be orange enough for some cats |
| Still a complex, but approachable model | |
| As good a value as the initial LEGO cat was |
Our verdict: After the immense success of 21349 Tuxedo Cat, you can’t blame the LEGO Group for releasing a sequel version – plus a few much-needed upgrades.
77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle

The second LEGO The Legend of Zelda set is here just in time for the franchise’s 40th anniversary. 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle opts for a much smaller set than the first model, focusing solely on Ocarina of Time rather than two games. With long-awaited minifigures and plenty of display value, this is one set to watch starting next month.
Those who have had the chance to look at 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle early have come away with strong positive reactions to the model, finding little to complain about, even in terms of the price.
“This product is tailor-made for shelf display and is, in my opinion, quite worthwhile if you keep in mind its direct reference. The construction matches the visual style of the video game released 28 years ago, the included minifigures offer two new ones, and the whole thing is a beautiful tribute to the game that captivated many fans for hours. For €120, it's hard to expect more from LEGO, and it's already very good.”
Hoth Bricks
| Pros of 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle | Cons of 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle |
|---|---|
| More affordable than the first LEGO The Legend of Zelda set | Still a pricey package for fans on a budget |
| Long-awaited and exclusive minifigures | |
| A fantastic display piece for fans of the franchise |
Our verdict: Following one expensive LEGO The Legend of Zelda model, it’s good to see the LEGO Group offer a much more affordable alternative that's just as good as the Deku Tree, and better in some ways.
31220 Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies

The latest LEGO Art set is 31220 Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies, a vibrant recreation of a unique art style. Leaning heavily into blues and greens, splashes of pinks and purples create a vivid artwork – but it's the texture that really makes this model stand out.
Dozens of types of LEGO pieces replicate Monet's style, making for an admittedly fiddly build experience but a truly captivating final display piece. Combined with a simple frame, it can be hung on the wall like Art LEGO sets that have come before. Despite certainly looking good, it's all tied up in a pretty expensive parcel, priced at £179.99 / $249.99 / €199.99.
"It’s definitely the most complex LEGO Art set. Number of different pieces used to build it is huge. It wasn’t easy to assemble. I have to say I was lost few times looking on instructions and on my build. However the final effect is a huge reward and I couldn’t imagine better LEGO build to hang on a wall."
FiranBricks
| Pros of 31220 Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies | Cons of 31220 Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies |
|---|---|
| Excellent use of colour | Quite a high price for what you get |
| LEGO Art's classic clever parts usage | So many small parts leave a fiddly build experience |
| Creative interpretation of Monet's style |
Our verdict: If you can drum up the cash, it's certainly an eye-catcher – but maybe best to wait for a discount.
11502 Sunflower Bouquet

This isn't the first time we've seen LEGO sunflowers, but 11502 Sunflower Bouquet is the best brick-built version of them yet. Made up of the flowers at three different stages of blooming, they're perfect for a standalone bouquet or to incorporate in a bigger LEGO flower display.
Priced at the usual £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99, LEGO Botanicals proves once again that it can deliver an impressive set on a budget. If you've been overlooking the flowery theme so far, now is the time to jump in with both feet.
"It seems that the designers of botanical sets can do no wrong: every set in the theme is excellent and, other than occasionally having to complain about their prices and repetitious construction, there's nothing else to criticise. I can think of no other established LEGO theme where that is the case. Botanical fans will be very happy to add this to their collection, especially as it seems better value than, say, the magnolia."
Brickset
| Pros of 11502 Sunflower Bouquet | Cons of 11502 Sunflower Bouquet |
|---|---|
| The best LEGO sunflowers yet | Even nitpicking, we can't find much to complain about! |
| Well-priced, as always in Botanicals | |
| Easy to display, either solo or with other sets |
Our verdict: Yet another example of an impressive bouquet that will never wilt.
60493 F1 Display Truck with Audi F1 Race Car

Audi is also making an entry to the LEGO Formula 1 grid via LEGO City, offering less detail but plenty of fun. However, it's worth noting that, unlike Speed Champions, not every City set is built to the same scale, making it impossible to collect every team in the same style if you're sticking to the latter theme.
That said, considering the price of £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99 for the Formula 1 car, a truck, and three minifigures, plus a pretty cool play feature that lifts the car onto the flatbed of the truck, 60493 F1 Display Truck with Audi F1 Race Car offers a strong, all-round play set for younger builders.
"I hate how they’re not the same build style as the others. Literally was the deciding factor for me on whether to go with City or Speed Champions."

| Pros of 60493 F1 Display Truck with Audi F1 Race Car | Cons of 60493 F1 Display Truck with Audi F1 Race Car |
|---|---|
| Genuinely engaging play feature | Frustratingly design inconsistencies with other City cars |

| Well-priced |
Our verdict: An ideal option for younger LEGO Formula 1 fans, with play opportunities that will endure long after the build.
43019 Football / 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy
The first two LEGO football sets of the modern era are very much in tune with the modern LEGO design ethos, at least where adults are concerned, which is of course focused on display over play. You won’t find any of the Subbuteo-style hands-on play from the early 2000s here; instead we’ve got a buildable trophy and football, the latter of which can open to reveal a microscale pitch.
What one of these sets isn’t necessarily in tune with, of course, is the LEGO Group’s own morals and values. Whether that’s relevant to you is of course up to you to decide, but it’s still worth considering in the context of these new LEGO Editions sets.
“Creating a smooth globe out of LEGO bricks is no small feat, and the designers do so impeccably here – smoother than the LEGO Ideas Globe from 2022! This is a sturdy design that is fascinating to connect altogether, and it can be replicated to create similar globes that open to reveal a hidden compartment.”
Tips & Bricks
| Pros of 43019 Football / 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy | Cons of 43019 Football / 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy |
|---|---|
| Brings the beautiful game back into focus | Questionable partnership with FIFA |
| The trophy is a treasure trove of drum-lacquered gold pieces | Not the most exciting approach to football |
| Can pretend you’ve won the World Cup |
Our verdict: We can’t in good faith recommend any LEGO FIFA sets, but the football (free of FIFA branding) might
be worth a look-in.
42228 McLaren MCL39

McLaren may have taken two Formula 1 championship titles last year, but 2026 is where they got the real prize: a LEGO Technic 1:8 car. 42228 McLaren MCL39 is priced like its predecessors at £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99, but upgrades the design to include the latest technical features from last year, including a new brick-built version of DRS.
While sticking to the same design language as those that came before, 42228 McLaren MCL39 has plenty to hold your attention in its own right. Despite a hefty investment, the depth of detail and impressive display possibilities allow us to hand over a hearty recommendation.
“You may think you don’t need another LEGO Technic F1 car, but just wait until you get to build this McLaren and behold all its glory. Another luxury LEGO experience that we wholeheartedly recommend.”
Brick Fanatics
| Pros of 42228 McLaren MCL39 | Cons of 42228 McLaren MCL39 |
|---|---|
| The best build experience of all the F1 cars at this scale | Still quite the investment |
| A masterpiece in design and technical expertise | |
| Looks even better than it is rewarding to build |
Our verdict: If you're going to buy any of the LEGO Technic Formula 1 cars, make it this one.
LEGO Star Wars SMART Play
The first wave of SMART Play sets is finally almost upon us after what feels like a very long period of hype and anticipation, but when they get here will they (as the LEGO Group hopes) redefine what a LEGO set can be, or will they fall flat? Well, it depends on what you’re after from your LEGO Star Wars sets. Looking for accurate, authentic and (relatively) reasonably-priced sets? These probably aren’t for you, and the good news in that case is that there are plenty of older X-wings, Throne Rooms and Landspeeders that can tick other boxes.
But if you want your Luke Skywalker to make little 8-bit noises and your X-wing to react with lights and sounds when it’s getting shot down by Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter, there might be something to pique your interest here. There are two major obstacles to success even in that scenario, though: first, these sounds are synthesised and therefore in no way recognisable as belonging to the source material; and second, they make these sets prohibitively expensive for even hardcore fans.
Only three of the eight LEGO Star Wars SMART Play sets include a SMART Brick (required to get any of it working), while the rest are ‘SMART Play compatible’ and only include SMART Tags and SMART Minifigures with which the SMART Brick can interact. So until you pair any of the compatible sets with (at minimum) an additional £60 purchase, they will unfortunately remain dumb as rocks... or the rest of your LEGO Star Wars sets.
Initial reaction to this range has not been especially favourable, so it’ll be very interesting to see how quickly they sell (or don’t) when they launch on March 1 – and what that might tell us about the future of LEGO SMART Play.
“If you’re looking to get into LEGO Star Wars SMART Play, I guess I’d first tell you don’t bother, but you may be interested in [75421 Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter] because it is the cheapest one with the SMART Brick and it looks pretty dang good on the box. Unfortunately, it does not look pretty dang good from a lot of other angles. I just cannot recommend spending $70 on this; if you’re eight years old, 18 years old, 48 years old, it doesn’t matter. It’s too much money.
“I just think the sound is so bad that it ruins the entire experience. And I did not consult my local eight-year-old LEGO Star Wars fan before filming this review, but I can’t imagine eight-year-olds that like and know Star Wars would find the sound quality to be acceptable… Ultimately I think this set is a massive disappointment. Frankly, it’s worse than I thought it would be.”
MandRProductions
| Pros of LEGO Star Wars SMART Play | Cons of LEGO Star Wars SMART Play |
|---|---|
| It’s something new and different for a galaxy far, far away | Sets and sounds lack authenticity – was Star Wars the right place to start? |
| Some of the sounds are pretty cute (see the sleeping Dewback, for example) | The entry price is not cheap, especially for the SMART Brick itself |
| The amount of tech squeezed into a 2x4 brick is impressive | Potentially another short-lived tech gimmick for the LEGO Group |
Our verdict: It might be fun to try these out, but it’ll require most of your March budget to do so. Best to wait until they’re discounted if you do fancy giving it a go.
11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher

In yet another impressive LEGO Formula 1 release for the month, we've got another Icons car based on an iconic heritage motorsports legend. This time, it's Michael Schumacher's turn, sticking to the same design style of previous iterations: a minifigure, a display stand, a printed quote plaque, and a detailed car.
11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher, and the other Icons cars, are all about display rather than rendering complex technical aspects like Technic. They also offer a more affordable means to get your hands on a detailed brick-built F1 car, priced at £79.99 / $89.99 / €89.99 – although that is an increase on the previous ones. Nonetheless, it still feels like an acceptable price for the quality of the build experience and final model.
"The new addition to the Icons F1 cars collection is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the year for me, and this one does not disappoint. I particularly appreciate the design consistency across the series, ensuring they look great when displayed together, as shown below."

| Good value, despite an increase |
Our verdict: An easy recommendation for Formula 1 fans and a worthy addition to the mini collection.
11373 The Lord of the Rings: Sauron’s Helmet

What’s the one thing LEGO The Lord of the Rings fans have been asking for since 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell blew us all away back in 2023? Cheaper ways to get in on the action, obvs, and the cheapest so far (BrickHeadz aside) is 11373 The Lord of the Rings: Sauron’s Helmet. This sharp addition to the cross-theme range perfectly captures the Dark Lord’s terrifying armour and costs less than the extended editions of the films in 4K.
Better still, it plucks its included Sauron minifigure directly from 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr, breaking down an expensive barrier to this character in the process. It deviates from the script in that sense – these helmets don’t normally include minifigures at all – and in doing so is elevated from ‘pretty cool’ to ‘must- have’ for Middle-earth fans.
“This is one of the strongest entries in the cross-theme line-up to date. It captures the spirit of Sauron with real confidence, feels premium, and finally gives The Lord of the Rings fans a helmet display piece worthy of Middle-earth’s greatest villain. It may not rule them all, but it will certainly dominate the shelf.”

| Wallet-friendly entry point into LEGO The Lord of the Rings | It could have been £10 cheaper to be honest |
| Striking and frankly rather intimidating display piece | The proportions are more an approximation than a recreation |
| Impeccable Sauron minifigure |
Our verdict: One of the best helmets to date, and from The Lord of the Rings of all themes. Can the rest get minifigures going forward too please?
