LEGO Insiders get first shot at 10358 Transformers: Soundwave

Transformers fans who just happen to be LEGO Insiders members will be able to grab 10358 Soundwave ahead of the set’s wider release.

The LEGO Icons theme officially revealed 10358 Soundwave today, a 1,505-piece version of the Decepticon communicator that follows in the Cybertronian footsteps of 10302 Optimus Prime and 10338 Bumblebee.

The good news for LEGO Insiders is that they can get their hands on 10358 Soundwave slightly earlier, with the LEGO Icons set available to members from August 1, 2025. That date comes ahead of a full and wider release for the model for everyone else on August 4

10358 Soundwave represents the latest collaboration between the LEGO Group and Hasbro, with both companies working together to release brick-built versions of the G1 Transformers characters.

LEGO Insiders who take advantage of the exclusive early access to 10358 Soundwave can expect to assemble a model that measures over 33cm tall, one that can transform into cassette player mode and back without disassembly, and that comes with separate Ravage and Laserbeak cassette tape builds.

In addition, 10358 Soundwave also boasts its own sound brick that features specially recorded speech and sound effects activated by pressing the ‘Play’ button on the front of the Decepticon.

Rounding out 10358 Soundwave is a display stand with printed information on the character’s power statistics, plus a mini transformed cassette player version of Soundwave – the first LEGO Transformers set to include such an accessory.

LEGO Insiders members can look forward to adding 10358 Soundwave to their collections from August 1, with the LEGO Icons model priced at £159.99 / $189.99 / €179.99. Everyone else will then get a shot at the brick-built Decepticon from August 4.
