LEGO Ideas second 2025 review results coming soon

The results of the biggest LEGO Ideas review round ever are coming next week, with 146 projects in the running for hopefully multiple models.

The LEGO Ideas team have announced on Facebook that the results of the second 2025 review round will be announced on April 27. This particular round has a whopping 146 projects, the most of any LEGO Ideas review. The theme's creative lead had some thoughts on this staggering number of submissions last year, back when there were only 90 proposals.

"It's been a bit unprecedented recently," stated LEGO Ideas Creative Lead Jordan David Scott as part of a roundtable interview featuring LEGO fan media.

"We've just closed one round, and now we're in the next one for the middle gate review, and we're already at over 90 projects that have qualified as 10K submissions. We still need to screen all of them. That's the most I think we've ever had, and the review is not over yet. I think the deadline is the end of August, so there's still another month to go. There's gonna be so many submissions.

"I don't know what sparked it, one of my theories was it's summer, so maybe more people are building and going on LEGO Ideas, which typically happens around Christmas time as well," Jordan continued. "There's a peak where people are on holiday, maybe they're with their families or friends, and they're just wanting to build and be creative.

"Another theory is that, because recently the terms were changed about rights and things, people are uploading a lot of stuff that was in challenge briefs, so I'm seeing a lot of the same submissions come back and shoot up because they were previously voted on."

These projects include a healthy mix of original concepts, historical tributes, animals, and intellectual property. From Clippy to Monsters, Inc., there's a bit of everything in the triple-digit review round. You can see all of the projects with a chance at an official LEGO Ideas set in the following table.

Since this round has 146 projects, it seems almost certain that at least one will be announced for a future LEGO Ideas model, but you would hope that we'll see multiple selected from this review. Unfortunately, it's nearly definite that at least 100 of these submissions will be rejected due to the sheer volume of proposals that reached 10,000 supporters during the window. The theme's Creative Lead was optimistic about these results last year, and we can only hope for the best.

"We'll see what happens," Jordan added. "Maybe we'll just end up doing 30 sets a year in LEGO Ideas. That would be awesome. We'll see how it goes with the next review, but it should be fun. It's a good position to be in."
