LEGO Ideas second 2021 review results revealed

The LEGO Group has confirmed the results of the second 2021 Ideas review, revealing which of the 34 projects will now enter production as an official set.

Two of the nearly-three-dozen projects in contention this round have been given the green light, including Andrea Lattanzio’s A-frame Cabin and Josh Bretz and Jacob’s BTS "Dynamite". Harry Finkel’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, meanwhile – which was held over from the first 2021 review – has been rejected following further review.

The two approved projects now join seven others in the production queue, with Truman Cheng’s Vincent van Gogh: The Starry Night likely the next to land on shelves. Based on previous windows between reveal and release, we’re probably looking at 2023 for both of the newly-greenlit models. Take a closer look at each of those below.

LEGO Ideas A Frame Cabin

“This cabin oozes charm and sets a cosy mood through its use of earthy colours and unique building techniques,” the Ideas team said of the A-Frame Cabin. “Andrea’s unique building style, very much inspired by rural, vintage house that are often run-down, is really captured beautifully in this build! We’re certain AFOLs and beyond will love it!”

LEGO Ideas BTS

“We’re absolutely excited to bring BTS, one of the most popular and influential bands to life in LEGO bricks through one of their biggest hits – ‘Dynamite’,” the Ideas team explained. “The South Korean band has changed the landscape of pop music and transitioned into a global phenomenon with their fun, authentic music, top-notch performances and positive messages.”

The latest LEGO Ideas set to arrive on shelves is 21332 The Globe. Check out our review of that one here.
