First LEGO Ideas review of 2026 gains its third football stadium

A third brick-built LEGO Ideas submission based on an iconic football location has hit 10K in the shape of Johan Cruijff ArenA, Amsterdam Soccer Stadium.

The first LEGO Ideas review of 2026 is growing at an impressive rate, with more fan-made submissions clocking up 10K supporters on a regular basis. The latest design to reach that lofty mark is the third to be based on a famous football locale, one that represents the largest to date in the Netherlands.

Following in the boot prints of Anfield Stadium – Liverpool FC and Emirates Stadium – Arsenal F.C. is Johan Cruijff ArenA, Amsterdam Soccer Stadium, which has been created by 2Studs, in collaboration with DoctorBrix and MadamGenuine020, and will be very familiar to fans of its real-world home club, AFC Ajax.

The fan-designed build features the ground’s well-known pair of roof arches, allowing the roof to be fully closed, and part of the top of the model can be completely removed to give a better view of the pitch and two layers of stands.

In addition, Johan Cruijff ArenA, Amsterdam Soccer Stadium contains a nod to the actual location, with a hidden tunnel concealed beneath its pitch with a handful of cars driving in and out, mimicking its real-life counterpart.

The LEGO Ideas set also boasts printed AFC Ajax logos and an image of footballing legend Johan Cruijff, who the stadium was renamed after in 2018, its main entrance, and team coach decked out in the club’s red, black and white colours.

The results of which fan submissions have made it all the way through the first LEGO Ideas review of 2026 won’t be known until later this year, so we’ll have to wait and see for now if Johan Cruijff ArenA, Amsterdam Soccer Stadium will ultimately become a championship design.
