LEGO Ideas meets Muppets mayhem as Mahna Mahna hits 10K

A classic Muppets musical number from yesteryear is the latest fan-designed submission to make it into the third LEGO Ideas review of 2025.

Following in the furry footsteps of Paddington comes yet another fan-made LEGO Ideas creation, with Mahna Mahna (Do Doo De-Do-Do) also managing to join the third review of 2025 after clocking up a grand total of 10K supporters.

The model is based on the classic musical number that appeared in the first season of The Muppet Show in 1976, but had previously been performed on the likes of The Ed Sullivan Show and Sesame Street.

Mahna Mahna (Do Doo De-Do-Do) has been conceived by JPHansen, a fan of all things Muppet and Jim Henson-related, who designed the build to be a fun display piece, one that could potentially feature some hand-cranked functionality at a later date.

The LEGO Ideas model features four brick-built characters in the shape of lead singer Mahna Mahna himself, backing vocalists the Snowths, and even Kermit the Frog, bringing the backstage phone to the latter characters, as seen in the original TV sketch.

During the development of Mahna Mahna (Do Doo De-Do-Do), the fan designer has continued tweaking the look of his creations, even adding a sound brick to the base of the group’s lead singer, with the intention for the element to feature clips from the show, should the model become a reality.

We’ll find out if that is the case when the results of the third LEGO Ideas review of 2025 are finally revealed early next year.
