LEGO Ideas launches Moon to Mars contest
The latest LEGO Ideas contest is inspired by NASA and challenges builders to construct a space vheicle that could make it to Mars. Over at the LEGO Ideas website, the Moon to Mars contest has launched. This build challenge asks entrants to put together a LEGO spacecraft that could go from the Moon to Mars, reflecting a real-life project that NASA is currently undertaking. As usual, the team have come up with an incredible prize package for the winner, consisting of the following items: 60224 Satellite Service Mission 60225 Rover Testing Drive 60226 Mars Research Shuttle 60227 Lunar Space Station 60228 Deep Space Rocket and Launch Control 60229 Rocket Assembly & Transport 60230 People Pack – Space Research and Development 10266 NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (review) 21309 LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (review) 31091 Shuttle Transporter (review) LEGO Creator Expert VIP Space Patch 40335 Space Rocket Ride (Gift with Purchase) Builds can be submitted as photographs of physical models or renderings of digital builds, with up to five photos permitted per entry. Both LEGO and NASA representatives will be on the judging panel for this competition when they review all of the entries. The deadline is August 1, 6.00am EST.
