Halloween is over, and a LEGO Ideas project based on The Grinch has reached 10,000 supporters just in time for the start of the festive season.
Like it or not, between shopping and other preparations, many enthusiasts around the world will be starting to celebrate Christmas starting from today. Now that Halloween is over, Christmas feels right around the corner, and papoy2T's Whoville build has hit 10,000 supporters right on time.
The 4,218-piece creation depicts the colourful and whimsical town from Dr Seuss' The Grinch, using forced perspective and scale to cleverly recreate Mount Crumpit in the background. The main town model includes the post office, an alley, the town hall and Cindy Lou’s house with interior spaces in both the post office and the house.
The town hall is more of a facade to accommodate the Grinch's cave, packed with references to the classic story, even down to Max's house. Eight minifigures are proposed for the set, three of which are different versions of the titular character, as well as a dog figure for Max.
While the timing is perfect, this model hasn't quite been approved for an official LEGO Ideas set just yet, and now joins the 31 other builds in the third 2025 review to see which will eventually join the lengthy list of LEGO Ideas models in production.
