LEGO Ideas gets in the festive mood with new Christmas Vacation House

A fresh take on a familiar fan-favourite festive film is the latest LEGO Ideas submission to clock up a whopping 10K supporters in the third review of 2025.

Some LEGO Ideas submissions are just so popular that they seem to come around every time there’s a new review, even if they don’t progress beyond the initial 10K supporters’ stage. Speaking of which, the latest fan creation to accumulate enough thumbs-up in the third review of 2025 is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Full House Version, representing a fresh take on the festive family home from the classic 1989 movie.

Following in the footsteps of StephOCO's National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Complete Griswold House, which is also in the current review, the most recent submission arrives courtesy of MadamEnthusiasticJay and is a 4,560-piece model that comes with side builds of cousin Eddie's RV and a small pool from Clark's dream.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Full House Version features a fully detailed version of the family’s wintery domicile set over three floors, one that also boasts 12 minifigures.

A number of fan-favourite moments from the movie are represented in the LEGO Ideas model, from a Christmas tree with a squirrel in it and a staircase with handrail that Clark cuts off with his saw to a hidden present in the fireplace chimney and exterior lights for Clark to attempt to put up.

For now, we’ll have to wait and see if this version of the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation house finally becomes a reality, with the results of the third LEGO Ideas review of 2025 due early next year.
