LEGO Icons' upcoming 11384 Golden Retriever Puppy is in some fans' hands early, confirming that it won't pose like the 101 Dalmatians puppy.
Early reviews of 11384 Golden Retriever Puppy have taken a closer look at the latest addition to the growing collection of life-sized LEGO pet models, drawing a comparison between it and 43269 101 Dalmatians. An official image compared the new set to 21349 Tuxedo Cat, but it's also similar in size to the Disney animal figure.
Unlike 43269 101 Dalmatians, 11384 Golden Retriever Puppy doesn't have the same posing options, despite it appearing otherwise in the overall build. 43269 101 Dalmatians can be posed with the head up and down, since the back and front legs share a type of connection to the body. This means that they can be easily interchanged for a much different look.
11384 Golden Retriever Puppy's front and back legs are connected to the body with ball joints that feature different spacing and are not compatible with one another. You can still move the puppy's front-left leg to hold its paw out, but it's still not nearly as poseable as 43269 101 Dalmatians.
Despite this, the early reviews of 11384 Golden Retriever Puppy are overall positive so far, notably pointing out that the fur is over-textured and certain colours are too visible as downsides to the build. The LEGO Icons model launches on February 1, 2026, for £129.99 / $139.99 / €139.99, and don't forget that you'll be close to qualifying for the latest gift-with-purchase when you pre-order it.
43269 101 Dalmatians is also available for £129.99 / $149.99 / €139.99, and you can read our review of the Disney figure by clicking here.
