LEGO House 10th anniversary challenges now live

LEGO Ideas has launched a new contest, challenging fan designers to create winning builds to celebrate the 10th anniversary of LEGO House in 2027.

LEGO House will be marking a major milestone in 2027, when the creative location celebrates its 10th anniversary. To mark that special event, LEGO Ideas has launched a new challenge tasking fan designers with creating themed models based around three very different and distinct categories, with must-have prizes up for grabs.

Those who opt for Dress To Impress will be required to submit models based on an outfit that would be worthy of wearing to the ultimate LEGO House party. Possibilities could include the past, present or future of fashion, all filtered through a brick-based lens that is.

Next up is The Perfect Celebration Gift, a category that’s looking for custom ideas for the ideal LEGO House anniversary present. From tapping into the Billund location’s decade-long history to date or an item inspired by the kind of surprises that you might give to your loved ones, the sky’s the limit.

Finally, there’s the Home of the Ultimate Celebration category, with creators having to construct an ideal venue for the LEGO House event in miniature form. That build can be as imaginative as you like, but should aim to capture the energy of the party in full swing.

Those who choose to participate in the latest LEGO Ideas challenge can potentially walk away with some impressive goodies. There will be three Grand Prize winners per category, with each successful design receiving an exclusive brick-built LEGO Trophy and two LEGO House tickets, plus copies of 21037 LEGO House, 40504 A Minifigure Tribute, 40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute and 40507 I Love Billund.

In addition, 75 builds in total from all three categories will be selected to be showcased in the LEGO House Exhibition at some point and will also be getting two LEGO House tickets and a copy of 21037 LEGO House.

The building phase of the LEGO Ideas challenge is due to end on July 1, 2026, which will then be followed by the fan vote phase from July 20 to August 3, with the winners in each category being revealed on August 20.

The rules of the LEGO Ideas challenge state that all submissions must be buildable with real-life bricks, but designs can be submitted digitally, and you can find all you need to know about the contest here.
