LEGO Friends summer 2023 sets revealed

More of this summer’s LEGO Friends sets have surfaced through an online retailer, including what might just be the theme’s most colourful building of all time.

LEGO Friends underwent a dramatic reboot in early 2023, and the two summer sets already revealed – 41737 Beach Adventure Park and 41759 Heartlake City Bus – both look like fun new additions to the ever-improving range. JB Spielwaren has now revealed another 11 sets joining the theme this summer, and they’re giving the equally-inspired LEGO City summer 2023 builds a run for their money.

41725 Beach Buggy Fun

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €9.99 Pieces: 61 Release date: June 1, 2023

The smallest set of the LEGO Friends summer 2023 wave includes two mini-dolls, a dog and a dolphin, all within the trappings of a typical 4+ set. Still, that’s not a bad return for €10, so 41725 Beach Buggy Fun might find an audience beyond its initial demographic.

41734 Sea Rescue Boat

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €84.99 Pieces: 717 Release date: June 1, 2023

Four mini-dolls, three dolphins and two vehicles – including a strangely anthropomorphic submarine – come together to form 41734 Sea Rescue Boat. Equipped with lifejackets, the Friends characters are ready to clean up the ocean – and looking at the call-out on the box, the catamaran-style boat might just transform into something else entirely…

41736 Sea Rescue Centre

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €44.99 Pieces: 376 Release date: June 1, 2023

Every good workplace needs a slide, we’ve always said it, and now that’s becoming reality in 41736 Sea Rescue Centre. There’s another treasure trove of animals here – including what looks like the world’s most relaxed otter – and three mini-dolls.

41744 Sports Centre

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €94.99 Pieces: 832 Release date: June 1, 2023

Forget 21337 Table Football: this is the LEGO football set you really want. 41744 Sports Centre includes a tiny one-on-one pitch, a basketball hoop, a climbing wall, scoreboard and more, along with four mini-dolls.

41745 Autumn’s Stable

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €62.99 Pieces: 545 Release date: June 1, 2023

Are all of Autumn’s sets going to be autumnal in aesthetics? Here’s hoping, because 41745 Autumn’s Stable continues the seasonal colour scheme of 41730 Autumn’s House with great results. The 545-piece set includes two mini-dolls and two horses.

41746 Riding School

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €29.99 Pieces: 134 Release date: June 1, 2023

A 4+ LEGO Friends set aimed squarely at younger builders, 41746 Riding School is still packed with plenty of details – from its wheelbarrow full of fruit and veg to the presumably-printed back wall.

41747 Heartlake City Community Kitchen

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €69.99 Pieces: 695 Release date: June 1, 2023

This colourful build includes a rooftop seating area, curved staircase, three mini-dolls and a micro-doll. And while 41747 Heartlake City Community Kitchen is seemingly designed to connect to 41748 Heartlake City Community Centre, it looks like a pretty fun model all on its own, too.

41748 Heartlake City Community Centre

LEGO Friends continues to push the envelope following its reboot in January, with 41748 Heartlake City Community Centre offering a towering explosion of colour. The 1,513-piece set appears to be modular at first glance, and should be able to combine with 41747 Heartlake City Community Kitchen for an even better display.

41749 News Van

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €29.99 Pieces: 446 Release date: June 1, 2023

41749 News Van doesn’t just cast Aliya in the role of a broadcast journalist, but packs an entire news story into the box, too. Peter valiantly tries to stop Darrel from cutting down the owl’s habitat, but will his protests garner enough attention to save the forest? Find out by tuning into the six o’clock news. We assume.

41752 Sea Rescue Aircraft

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €19.99 Pieces: 203 Release date: June 1, 2023

Call Zac Moby Dick, because he’s found his white whale. Partnered with Dia (if our eyes aren’t deceiving us – that box art is pretty small), who’s presumably a new LEGO Friends character, the duo take to the skies to rescue the whale from… some wooden beams. Hey, 41752 Sea Rescue Aircraft is only a 203-piece set, so we’ll take what we can get.

41753 Pancake Shop

Price: £TBC / $TBC / €9.99 Pieces: 157 Release date: June 1, 2023

Serving up a tasty treat of a tiny LEGO Friends set, 41753 Pancake Shop includes mini-dolls of Paisley and Luna, alongside a rabbit with carrot. We’re not sure carrots and pancakes mix, but we’re not writing the rules here. Those pancake tiles have caught our eye, anyway…
