LEGO Dungeons & Dragons Collectible Minifigures series confirmed

The LEGO Group has confirmed that a Dungeons & Dragons Collectible Minifigures series is on the way later this year.

Nestled in the press release for the just-announced 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale is confirmation that – as rumoured – a LEGO Collectible Minifigures series inspired by the tabletop roleplaying game will arrive in September. It’s first mentioned by Wizards of the Coast Global Play Lead Dan Rawson among a laundry list of ways the LEGO Group will be celebrating Dungeons & Dragons’ 50th anniversary in 2024.

“LEGO bricks and Dungeons & Dragons have been used by fans to generate stories and build adventures for so long that bringing these two creative brands together during our 50th anniversary felt like a no-brainer,” Rawson said. “With the amazing LEGO Ideas set designed by Lucas Bolt, the adventure package available on D&D Beyond, and the LEGO Minifigures series coming this fall, fans will have so many new sparks of imagination available to enjoy creating fantasy stories together with friends and family.”

A quick line at the end of the press release confirms that the new series will launch in September, occupying the usual slot for the third Collectible Minifigures launch within any single calendar year. (Last year’s was filled by 71039 Marvel Series 2, for example.) No other details have been provided at this stage, though – including how many characters will be included or who they might be.
