LEGO Douglas DC-3 PAN AM Airliner shines in new video

The LEGO Group's latest promotional video shines the spotlight on the new LEGO Douglas DC-3 PAN AM Airliner set, as well as aircraft of all kinds.

Social media channels belonging to the LEGO Group, Pan Am and Boeing have shared a new promotional video for 11378 Douglas DC-3 PAN AM Airliner, showcasing some of the set's described features. You can watch the video for yourself by clicking below, or by heading to Instagram.

The video depicts a man waiting for his flight in an airport, and deciding to pass the time by building the 1,903-piece set in the terminal. It's not clear what his plan is for transporting that model via the plane once it's built. Putting that aside, the video serves as a great way to see the set's functions in action, including the spinning propellors and folding landing gear.

At the start of the video, the departure board features a series of numbers corresponding to flights. This includes 11378 for 11378 Douglas DC-3 PAN AM Airliner. The other four numbers correspond to recent LEGO models that are all based on flying vehicles, including 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D and 10355 Blacktron Renegade.

Once you've finished wondering whether those flights are heading to space, remember that LEGO Icons 11378 Douglas DC-3 PAN AM will be available for LEGO Insiders to buy from April 1 and for everyone else from April 4. It will cost £199.99 / $219.99 / €219.99 and comes with four exclusive minifigures.
