LEGO Douglas DC-3 aircraft rumoured for April 2026

A new LEGO Icons rumour states that the Douglas DC-3 commercial aircraft is getting a nearly 2,000-piece recreation soon.

Brick_clicker on Instagram has returned with a new LEGO Icons rumour, concerning another potential aircraft model for the theme, following in the footsteps (or contrails) of 10318 Concorde and 10360 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft. The rumour is that 11378 Douglas DC-3 Commercial Aircraft will be released on April 1, 2026 and include 1,903 pieces for $219.99.

The Douglas DC-3 debuted in 1935 and depicts the commercial-specific version of the aircraft, and not those used in the military, which were designated as C-47s and C-53s. 607 of them were built, and as of 2024, four airlines are stated to still be using this model of aircraft.

1,903 pieces would put the rumoured 11378 Douglas DC-3 Commercial Aircraft just below the piece count of 10318 Concorde and far below that of 10360 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, but its price is believed to sit between the two official LEGO Icons aircraft models.

This LEGO Icons rumour remains just that for now and should be taken with a pinch of salt. While we wait to see if it is cleared for takeoff, here's a reminder of everything rumoured and confirmed for LEGO Icons this year.
