LEGO Disney 43302 Main Street U.S.A. revealed

The LEGO Group has unveiled a nearly-4,000-piece recreation of Disney’s Main Street launching next month to celebrate its 70th anniversary.

43302 Main Street, U.S.A. debuts June 1 for LEGO Insiders and June 4 for everyone else, going toe-to-toe with 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith. But if you prefer colourful shopping streets to gigantic fantasy cities, this is for you.

Included here are Main Street’s Fire Station, Crystal Arcade and Jewellery Shop, along with the Disneyland Emporium. They’re each situated on a 16x32 baseplate and are open-backed to access their interiors, reminiscent of the style and approach of LEGO Harry Potter’s 75978 Diagon Alley.

There’s also a fire truck, popcorn cart, Gus (from Cinderella) and Sebastian (of The Little Mermaid fame) figures, and no fewer than 16 regular minifigures. Among those are Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Main Street cast members (including the Dapper Dans), Disneyland staff and a variety of guests in Star Wars, Marvel and Disney-themed outfits.

43302 Main Street, U.S.A. is also stuffed with references to wider Disney franchises, including the Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and Sleeping Beauty, while the Disneyland Emporium gift shop includes tiny microscale recreations of iconic locations like Disney Castle – and a range of Mickey and Minnie ears that can be attached to certain minifigures’ hairpieces.
