LEGO Disney 43258 Kakamora Barge brings back Maui bigfig

A new LEGO Disney Moana 2 set has suddenly been revealed, bringing back a character that has been missing from the theme for years.

Maui is officially back in LEGO Disney with an identical bigfig of the demigod confirmed for 43258 Kakamora Barge. With 572 pieces, Maui, Moana, Heihei and a handful of Kakamora, it's a unique entry into the LEGO Moana collection and one that is likely to be popular for that bigfig despite the price-to-piece ratio.

43258 Kakamora Barge will cost £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 when it launches on June 1 worldwide, and pre-orders are open now in the UK and Europe. That's not a lot of parts for the price, and it seems likely that Maui's return has impacted the price.

The Kakamora figures all use the new plush piece with what appears to be four new accessories slotting into their head. Collectors of the LEGO plush piece so far might want to add an unusual entry to their wishlist.

43258 Kakamora Barge joins the list of LEGO Disney sets released in 2025 as well as the list of models based on the Moana sequel.
