LEGO deals of the week: rare savings and castles

This week's range of LEGO deals includes rare discounts on sets that are typically LEGO-exclusive, as well as castles and a juggernaut sale.

We've scoured the internet once more to find some of the best LEGO deals at UK retailers this week, just in case none of the February releases have caught your eye, or you have spare money to spend.

This week's saving roundup starts at Zavvi, where the retailer is offering £40 off the £139.99 75413 Republic Juggernaut. The latest take on the turbo tank was criticised in part for its high price at launch, but the 813-piece model is much more reasonable at £99.99.

There's also a £60 saving on 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower, perfect to pair with the many other Hogwarts models, as well as a rumoured set. This lofty tower model has a hefty interior, many minifigures and is one of the most essential sections of the modular Hogwarts Castle. Rounding out Zavvi's deals is a rare saving on 80056 Nine-Headed Beast. The Monkie Kid model is supposed to be exclusive to the official online store, but is listed at Zavvi for £54.99 instead of £74.99.

Very's deals this week include some continuing offers, as well as increased discounts compared to previous weeks. Train enthusiasts will be glad to see that the unique 60470 Explorer Train has been reduced to £119.99 from £179.99 this week, including exclusive track elements.

31168 Medieval Horse Knight Castle continues to be offered for £22 off at the retailer, ready to be rebuilt into alternate models in case you already own a copy. On the less expensive side, 75437 Cobb Vanth's Speeder is reduced from £24.99 to £20.99, and features two exclusive minifigures.

Amazon continues to feature a wide swathe of LEGO deals this week, including the recent 31385 Beautiful Dolphins for 16% off, or £37.99 instead of £44.99. This display-forward aquatic model can be rebuilt into two alternate models, but the main build looks good on its own with the underwater segment and a rolling wave.

76324 Spider-Man vs. Oscorp isn't new, but it pairs well with the latest Daily Bugle build. The rare Marvel building is available now at Amazon for 20% off, making its contents much more reasonably priced.

Fans of all things video games can also find 72046 Game Boy at Amazon for 20% off, or £43.99 instead of £54.99. This is one of the biggest discounts on the Nintendo model in the UK since it was launched last year.
