LEGO Cuphead, Beetlejuice and Steve Irwin all reach Ideas review

The latest batch of LEGO Ideas projects to rack up 10,000 supporters includes builds based on Cuphead, Beetlejuice and Steve Irwin.

Four more LEGO Ideas projects have surpassed the necessary 10,000 votes to reach the review stage since our last update to this list, which brings the total number of proposed sets in the first 2026 review to nine. All of these projects will be reviewed by the LEGO Group, which will decide whether or not to move them into production as official LEGO sets.

Locomotive: New York Central #5405

First on the list is Olivier312’s 1,350-piece Locomotive: New York Central #5405, which targets the same sort of concept as 2020’s LEGO Icons 10277 Crocodile Locomotive. The focus is entirely on the engine and tender, with no passenger cars in sight, though instead of a black display base this one comes with regular LEGO track – and is also fully motorised, at least as the builder has pitched it.

Cuphead

Next up is Vaicko’s Cuphead, which is the builder’s eighth project (of only nine total) to reach the review stage. None of their builds have been given the green light so far, but they’ll be hoping this one – which serves up an 868-piece diorama based on the famously difficult video game – finally makes the cut. The LEGO Group has gone all-in on video gaming lately, but will Cuphead be iconic enough to join Mario, Sonic et al on shelves?

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice!

The LEGO Group already has prior experience with ‘80s cult classic Beetlejuice thanks to LEGO Dimensions, but Brick Built Labs is hoping to capitalise on 2024’s sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with this Maitland House modular building. Or they were when they submitted the project to LEGO Ideas a year and a half ago – fingers crossed the ship hasn’t already sailed on the relevancy of this one…

Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter

LEGO Ideas Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter 1200x800

The aptly-named King of Crocs has immortalised legendary Australian conservationist and wildlife expert Steve Irwin as a buildable LEGO figure in this wide diorama, which also includes a saltwater crocodile, koala and a double-sided display base. It’s their second project paying tribute to Steve Irwin, and the second to reach 10,000 votes. The first was rejected in the third 2023 review.
