A third Micro NINJAGO City set has popped up as a GWP, following two other recent bonus freebies available with qualifying LEGO spends.
The LEGO Group recently offered up both 40703 Micro NINJAGO City and 40705 Micro NINJAGO City Gardens as bonus GWPs, in addition to then-current promotional sets. Now that line-up of freebies appears to have been bolstered by a third model from the collection, at least with some orders, suggesting that the LEGO Group is attempting to clear out the last of its remaining stock.
When I purchased a set from LEGO.com this week, I was pleasantly surprised to see that 40704 Micro NINJAGO Docks was added to my shopping bag as an extra incentive. The 275-piece LEGO NINJAGO model was released back in early 2024 as an exclusive Insiders members reward and was available for 2,300 points.
The miniature build arrived last year as the second of four microscale builds of the larger NINJAGO City series, representing a tiny recreation of 2018’s 70657 NINJAGO City Docks, and was worth roughly £15 at the time.
My recent order totalled just over £20 / $20 / €20, which was the minimum spending threshold for both 40703 Micro NINJAGO City and 40705 Micro NINJAGO City Gardens when they were available as GWPs, so the addition of 40704 Micro NINJAGO Docks as an extra freebie was much appreciated.
That said, the bonus LEGO NINJAGO promotional offer now appears to have expired in the UK, US and Europe, replaced with double Insiders points and 40777 Celebration Series: 4. Gingerbread Train Ornament GWP (the latter while stocks last).
Of course, that does mean I’m going to have to hunt down 40703 Micro NINJAGO City and 40705 Micro NINJAGO City Gardens in order to flesh out my full collection of tiny NINJAGO City sets, so here’s hoping 40706 Micro NINJAGO City Markets pops up as a secret GWP soon…
