New rumours suggest a number of potential LEGO City, Friends and gift-with-purchase sets might well be on the way in the months to come.
We may only be three months into the year, but the LEGO Group has already had a very busy 2025 so far. With over 280 sets released or confirmed to date this year, it’s looking highly-likely that the company will easily beat 2024’s total of 488 models.
As usual, there’s much more to come in 2025 though, with fresh hints as to what we might be able to expect now beginning to emerge. Reliable Instagram-user fateful_04 is back with details of more potential LEGO releases for the year ahead, including new City, Friends and GWP offerings.

First up is the previously-rumoured 60470 Arctic Explorer Express Train, said to be a 1,517-piece set launching on June 1, 2025 and now reported to be priced at $199.99. The LEGO City theme is certainly no stranger to visiting the frozen location as a source of inspiration, so a return to the chilly polar region certainly makes a lot of sense.
Previous LEGO City Arctic models have gone with an overall orange, blue and grey colour scheme, so it’s possible that look might be reflected in 60470 Arctic Explorer Express Train, but there’s no hint that that’s the case so far.

Next up is LEGO Friends, with the popular theme having launched a huge number of new builds on January 1. 42658 Unicorn and Flamingo Pool Party has already been previously-hinted at for 2025, with more details suggesting the set will come in at just 99 pieces for $9.99 on June 1, 2025.

Finally, a new LEGO GWP model is also rumoured to be on its way this year in the shape of 40807 Birthday Numbers. Initial details regarding the potential promotional set state that the build will have a value of £19.99 and launch June 1, 2025, although no spending threshold has been revealed.
For now, be sure to treat all of the above rumours with speculation for the time being until the LEGO Group confirms the models for 2025. In the meantime, be sure to check out our dedicated landing page for all LEGO sets rumoured and confirmed for this year to date right here.
