LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 9 vote now open

The ninth series of the BrickLink Designer Program has now opened for voting, revealing over 400 projects all vying for a chance to be a finalist.

Series 9 of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program has revealed the full selection of 436 projects and the numerous enthusiasts all hoping to be picked as one of five finalists, and therefore made into real sets. There are more submissions than in most other series of the program, and you can help the panel of judges determine which five models should be finalists by casting your votes using emojis.

You've got until October 17 to decide how you feel about every build (or as many as you can). While 436 projects are a lot for anyone to go through (or include in a single report), we can at least narrow down the various categories within this series.

Lots of castles, including for the new factions

As you might have expected, LEGO Castle is a popular subject in Series 9, with 129 of 436 builds categorised as medieval or Castle creations. There are more castle-adjacent models in other categories too, and many of them focus on the new factions introduced throughout 2025 to offer them a base of operations.

Classic Space's new factions and more familiar faces

Classic Space's new factions introduced earlier this year aren't quite as popular in the series, but there are a few builds expanding on these new groups. Also within the science-fiction category are quite a few builds paying tribute to classic themes such as Atlantis and Rock Raiders.

Modular-adjacent buildings

Despite the new rule regarding modular buildings on the BrickLink Designer Program, the community continues to build around these guidelines through an array of creative buildings that can take on different forms to fit into a cityscape or be displayed individually.

...and much more

This is only a short preview of what awaits you in Series 9 of the BrickLink Designer Program, with everything from functional toilets to a giant LEGO monkey also proposed for a set. Make sure you have your say before October 17 by clicking through to BrickLink, and don't forget that the Series 6 sets are available to pre-order right now.
