A new LEGO gift-with-purchase has been officially revealed, with 40905 Birthday Cupcake lined up as a future promotional freebie.
The LEGO Group has managed to squeeze out one last GWP set reveal before the year is out, thanks to a full listing for 40905 Birthday Cupcake. The promotional model follows closely in the hoof marks of 40779 Year of the Horse, a freebie that’s already available in some territories, including Singapore.
Measuring over 10cm high, 40905 Birthday Cupcake is a 174-piece build that features a large colourful confectionery creation that can be customised by using a selection of tiles and other shapes that come with the set.
A bright red cherry can be placed on top of the model, along with a number of candles to mark the builder's age, plus there’s pink icing and a yummy chocolate base to assemble. 40905 Birthday Cupcake also has a yellow ladder, allowing the included chef minifigure to reach all of its various layers, and a blue balloon dog figure.
There have been no hints so far as to when 40905 Birthday Cupcake may be available as a free GWP or what the potential minimum spending threshold might be to obtain the set. However, it’s likely that the model will pop up on LEGO.com after 40779 Year of the Horse has been and gone, although that’s just speculation on our part for now.
In the meantime, a number of existing GWPs are still up for grabs in different regions, such as 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack, 40758 Celebration: Ferris Wheel with Fireworks, 40770 Hogwarts Castle: Room of Requirement and 40756 Lucky Knots.
