LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 mini-build winners revealed soon

The winners of the recent LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 mini-build contest will be revealed in full next week.

Crowdfunding for the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 sets is due to open on June 6, 2024, the date that five successful fan-designed models will finally be available for pre-order. Up to 30,000 copies of each limited edition set will be produced, but once that target has been reached they’ll all be gone for good.

However, ahead of pre-orders for the full-size creations going live will be the reveal of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 mini-build contest winners. Builders were recently challenged to create microscale versions of each of the five larger LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 models, with one copy of each physical BDP Series 2 set going to the successful finalists.

With the May 29 deadline for the competition having now been and gone, the results of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 mini-build contest will be announced on June 5 at 12pm PT (7pm GMT). A total of 88 mini versions have been submitted and you can check out all of the hopeful entries over on the BrickLink site right now.

The rules for the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 mini-build contest stated that each model had to use between 10 and 300 parts and ideally follow the BDP Series 5 Palette. The results are certainly pretty impressive, with a number of stand-out entries having been submitted that manage to emulate the look of their much bigger brick-built cousins quite closely.

The lucky entrants will get to discover if their creations have made the grade next week, when the results of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 mini-build contest are revealed.
