A trio of upcoming LEGO DC Batmobiles include some new elements and interesting building techniques, but how do they compare to fan-made designs?
LEGO DC will debut three new Batmobiles on March 1, sets based on specific Dark Knight movie rides, with one vehicle never having appeared in brick-built form before in the shape of

76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile

Kicking things off is 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile, which is the vastly-improved direct successor to 2016’s 76045 Kryptonite Interception. The LEGO DC set opts for a primarily grey colour scheme over the previous iteration of the vehicle and sports a number of all-new pieces alongside recolours of existing elements.
First off are six wedge parts, with three of each used on the sides of 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile to help give the car its distinctive shape. Those pieces debuted in 2023 in
Also new for 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile is a printed canopy, one that is much smaller and more movie accurate than the piece utilised in 76045 Kryptonite Interception, along with a hidden printed 20th-anniversary coin marking LEGO Batman’s two-decade anniversary this year.
In addition to those elements, 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile gets creative with a pair of two-barrel pistols, placing them on either side of the Dark Knight’s vehicle to double up as exhausts.
The LEGO DC set also manages to faithfully recreate the armoured look of this particular Batmobile by employing angled grey shields at the rear of the car, plus spoilers with bar handles and wheel forks with 3x2 wedge plates in the same colour at the front of the vehicle, the latter faithfully capturing the essential protection required around those tyres.

When it comes to fan-made versions of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ride, there are a number of impressive builds to choose from thanks to the fan community. For example, Shusuke’s take on the movie’s distinctive Batmobile is quite close to the overall shape and proportions of 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile, opting instead for a fully black build that calls back to 76045 Kryptonite Interception.
The model includes a similar approach as the official LEGO DC set when it comes to the Batmobile's armoured appearance, even down to the same angled 3x2 wedge plates protecting the rear engine. Likewise, a single piece canopy and low windshield add to the vehicle's crouched look, plus there's a pair of huge rear tyres that appear to be even larger than those on 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile.

Over on Rebrickable, Gervant_Riviiskiy pushes the Batfleck ride’s dimensions even further with a 467-piece primarily black model, one that manages to add massive rear tyres, a custom windscreen piece and illuminated front lights to the creation. There's much more detail apparent all over the fan-designed model, with more than twice the number of elements being put to good use at the front and rear of the car, as well as the vehicle's side exhausts.

Finally, legojoseph delivers a satisfyingly chunkier take on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s Batmobile, with the 480-piece fan design incorporating two cockpit seats, a rear grappling hook, a lifting chassis, combat mode with guns and a front flare system. While the fan-made model does have more of a LEGO Technic vibe to it, what the build really does well is capture the overall feel of the crimefighting vehicle and its aggressive stance.
76332 The Batman Batmobile

The LEGO DC theme dropped 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase in 2022, a much more kid-friendly version of the sinister movie film vehicle that featured two spring-loaded shooters on its bonnet and trans-light blue exhaust elements, but lacked attention to detail and a had a huge quality gap compared to previous Bat-vehicles.
Fortunately, 76332 The Batman Batmobile addresses all of those issues, delivering a much more authentic take on the Dark Knight’s car, with some fantastic parts usage throughout. The impressive look of the LEGO DC set begins with its sloped front grill, a small build that slots neatly on to the front of the vehicle and sits at a dynamic angle.
Moving across 76332 The Batman Batmobile, we come to the car’s roof, a simple black 6x6 plate that can be removed for access to a single-seater interior, a smooth element that is thankfully without an injection mark in the centre.
Inside 76332 The Batman Batmobile's cramped cockpit is a silver gearstick created from a bar holder with handle, a piece that adds a visually satisfying feel to this section of the model. Those elements pop up in the car’s rear engine too, with silver roller skates and more bar handles used to great effect, showcasing the metal parts that went into the creation of the screen-used custom muscle car.
The LEGO DC set also incorporates the same wedge elements used in 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile, arriving in black for this set, helping to give Battinson’s ride its distinctive and menacing rear fins. 76332 The Batman Batmobile is rounded out with a new printed 20th-anniversary coin to be found under the removable bonnet, the exact same piece included with all three Bat-vehicles in the March 2026 wave.
Numerous fan-made takes on this iteration of the Batmobile have popped up online since 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin arrived four years ago, delivering much more exciting models than that particular official version of the car.

Of note is NafBuiltIt’s design, which is incredibly close to the final look of 76332 The Batman Batmobile. Coming in at 320 pieces, the build was assembled at LEGO Speed Champions minifigure scale, an approach that we’ve already discussed in more detail.
However, this fan design has much smoother fins that gently curve over the back wheels and a rear afterburner that uses a selection of the same parts found in the 2026 LEGO DC set. Also of note is a trans-light blue element that can be attached to the car’s engine to mirror its afterburner, mimicking the approach utilised in 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase.

Those impressive custom builds continue with another close match to 76332 The Batman Batmobile in the shape of Jerry Builds Bricks’ take on the vehicle. Comprised of 366 pieces, the Batmobile boasts an angled profile, with the rear of the crimefighting car sitting much higher than the front, and the back section featuring a more detailed engine than the official LEGO DC set.

Rounding out the fan-made versions of The Batman Batmobile is a MOC from hachiroku24. While the model isn’t nearly as refined or accurate as 76332 The Batman Batmobile, it does manage to translate the aggressive nature of the film vehicle into brick form quite well, with a similar building method to how the LEGO DC sets comes together, albeit with a more detailed rear engine.
76333 Batman & Robin Batmobile

It may be surprising to learn, but the unique look of
In fact some very simple building techniques have been employed by the LEGO DC design team in order to achieve the correct styling for George Clooney’s movie ride, an approach that utilises existing pieces and established colours, enhanced with a total of 12 stickers throughout, the most of all of the upcoming Batmobile builds.
For example, to achieve the desired appearance of the front-heavy vehicle, curved black 8x2 slopes have been attached to each side of
Likewise, the rear of the LEGO DC set only measures around six studs, matching the original spec of LEGO Speed Champions cars before the theme changed to eight studs wide in 2020. The highly-stylised look of
There are no real surprises at the back of the vehicle, with this take on the Batmobile matching that of the one-seater car in the 1997 film.

In terms of Batman & Robin Batmobile MOCs, there are number of worthy creations out there, such as Ben_Bricks’ 313-piece model. Although lacking the colour of both the movie car or

Then there’s kim688r’s Batman & Robin Batmobile MOC, one that takes a much more creative approach to its subject matter, simulating the film car’s interior lights to great effect along with some dramatic trans-blue rear exhaust flames. The brick-built approach to the side of the car also feels a bit more detailed and dynamic than the sticker in the official LEGO DC set.

Finally, be sure to check out Creation Caravan Toys’ set, which actually represents an alternate build for 42127 The Batman – Batmobile and takes the LEGO Technic model in a completely different direction. Assembled from 1,061 parts, this Batman & Robin Batmobile may not be minifigure-scale, but it’s still a standout interpretation of the Caped Crusader’s car, and makes fine use of the larger panels to recreate the particular shaping of this Batmobile.
The vehicle's back wheels spin a drive shaft, which in turn moves the pistons in the engine and the front and rear flame exhaust. What’s more, the vehicle’s steering can be controlled from the back of the build, red and yellow light bricks illuminate the interior, and hidden guns can pop out, making this a truly impressive iteration of the Batman & Robin Batmobile.
