LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has only been playable for a couple of days, but some gamers are already starting to unlock the platinum trophy – and it sounds very reasonable to achieve.
If you’re playing LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on PlayStation 5, there are 52 trophies to collect, which break down into 44 bronze trophies, four silver trophies, three gold trophies and one platinum trophy. To earn all of those you’ll obviously need to complete the game (as is standard for LEGO video games), but beyond that it doesn’t sound too taxing.

The three gold trophies are earned by completing story mode, completing every side activity in Gotham and collecting all collectibles. You’ll earn the silvers for unlocking all suits, vehicles, skill upgrades and red bricks. The bronze trophies are a mix of rewards that will pop automatically throughout the story, and others you’ll need to go a little bit out of your way to earn.
According to redditor JayJayGamerOfficial, though, who says they’re the fifth person to unlock the game’s platinum trophy (at least going by PSN Profiles), there’s nothing in there that’s going to cause too much frustration. There are no missable trophies, and just one requires a little bit of luck: “Things have improved.”

To earn that bronze trophy you’ll need to prevent each type of crime in Gotham once, and given they pop up randomly in the open world you might be waiting a while for it. There are 10 different types of crimes: Break-In, Citizens in Peril, Vandalism, Mugging, Scuffle, Getaway Vehicle, GCPD Backup, Ambush!, Snatch and Run, and Joyriders.
Otherwise, JayJayGamerOfficial says it took them around 29 hours to unlock the platinum trophy while playing on the hardest difficulty – and it was a much more pleasant experience than trying to attain 100% completion in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which PSN Profiles suggests will take around 80 hours.

“It was really enjoyable!” they wrote. “While [Legacy of the Dark Knight] and Skywalker Saga have similar gameplay this was nowhere near the grind that Skywalker Saga was. I ended up rushing through it with 29 hours of gameplay within 52 hours of it releasing so it was a little bit of a drag, but if you’re taking it at an average pace then I believe it is one of the best LEGO games ever made.”
That’s high praise, but maybe not surprising given the review scores for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight so far. And don’t worry if you’re playing on Xbox or PC: the list of achievements on those platforms is identical to the trophy list on PS5, so you’ll hopefully have a good time unlocking them however you choose to play the game.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is out for everyone tomorrow (May 22) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC, while Deluxe Edition players can get started now. A Nintendo Switch 2 version (sans any form of achievements) is scheduled to arrive somewhere down the line.
