This week's UK games charts have seen LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight soar to the top, beating Forza Horizon 6 and a new Yoshi game.
GfK have revealed last week's charts for the top-selling games, the first since LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was released. It was a busy period for the games industry as LEGO Batman went up against both Forza Horizon 6 and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.
Against all odds, though, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is at the top of the charts with Forza placing second and the Yoshi title in third place. While the LEGO game has the strength of the DC IP behind it, such a result wasn't expected against the likes of a major Xbox first-party title.
It's a strong position for the LEGO game, and it will be worth following this data as the weeks continue. It's likely to fall in the charts with stronger releases later in the month, including a 007 title coming out tomorrow.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, as well as PC. It's also coming to Nintendo Switch 2, but with no release date at the time of writing. The Mayhem Collection DLC is also coming in September and is included in the Deluxe Edition. Recent details for the DLC were recently rumoured, focusing on multiple villains.
