LEGO Art’s latest set is shaping up to be the sleeper hit of 2025, moving to extended back order within days of launch at LEGO.com.
The LEGO Group debuted three new sets last week, including a giant Mario Kart sculpture, a NASA-inspired spacecraft and a colourful recreation of a vintage Keith Haring artwork. And while the first two in that list seem like safer bets for selling out – given the LEGO Group’s extensive back catalogue of Super Mario and NASA sets – it’s actually the latest LEGO Art set that’s hardest to come by right now.
Orders for 31216 Keith Haring Dancing Figures placed at LEGO.com today in the UK will ship by June 17, while in the US and Europe you’re looking at a wait of ‘up to 60 days’. By comparison,
This doesn’t necessarily reflect the full picture of how each set is performing in pure numbers, because there’s every chance that the LEGO Group anticipated higher sales for its Super Mario and Icons sets and bumped up the size of their initial production runs (relative to 31216 Keith Haring Dancing Figures). Either way, the 1,773-piece LEGO Art set is clearly selling better than expected.
There’s a lot of love for these colourful figures out there in the community too, with one reddit post calling it a contender for ‘the best display set of all time’ reaching nearly 3,000 upvotes. User ThisIsTest123123 summed it up nicely: “Sets like this have a characteristic of art in that they allow the mind to wander over them when being in the same room.
"Sets like vehicles which are representations of reality can (in my opinion) quickly become boring on display as they don’t leave much space for interpretation and thought.”

LEGO Art is easily one of the most experimental LEGO themes out there right now, with almost every new set trying something bold and interesting. All three of this year’s releases so far have journeyed in wildly different directions, from 31214 LOVE’s buildable sculpture and
Broadening the scope of its products has been the LEGO Group’s modus operandi for a few years now in an attempt to bring new customers into the fold, beyond its established audiences for licences like Nintendo and NASA.
