LEGO Architecture's latest New York set explained

LEGO Architecture's latest New York set explained

LEGO Architecture's latest take on New York is trying something new for the theme, and the designer has explained why it's so different.

As part of Brick Fanatics' trip to Billund last year for LEGO Fan Media Days 2025, we got to take a closer look at the newly-revealed 21066 New York City – The Big Apple, which opts for a different approach than fans of the theme will be used to.

The city skyline, which appears in monochromatic colours, is framed by a huge apple backdrop, and the set's designer has explained why the team decided to build this model with such an angle in mind. Watch our latest video for the full presentation and a peek behind the scenes at Billund.

LEGO Architecture 21066 New York City – The Big Apple will be released on June 1 for £129.99 / $139.99 / €139.99. It is made up of 1,465 pieces and technically has one minifigure, in the form of the all-white Statue of Liberty.

Here's a look at where LEGO Architecture has been and is rumoured to go later this year, so far takin trips to Paris and New York.
