LEGO 76300 Arkham Asylum is only a few days old, but fans have been quick to expand on the set in height, detail and footprint.
The recent release of 76300 Arkham Asylum, which saw the set go on back order in some regions and run out of stock in stores, has been met with much excitement from LEGO DC fans, including a few enthusiasts who have intricate plans on how to expand the asylum for added inmates, details and much more.
Expansions and modifications to 76300 Arkham Asylum are nothing new, as one was floated shortly after the set's reveal. They're much more concrete than this initial sketch, though, expanding the model in almost every possible direction.
BardicBricks is following in the footsteps of the many expansions for
Rebelnili has opted not to increase the footprint of 76300 Arkham Asylum in any major way, but instead has upgraded the level of detail present in the DC build. Their modification of 76300 Arkham Asylum adds further Gothic and Victorian architectural elements, while removing the guard tower entirely and modifying the size of the yard to incorporate a full pavement on one side.
Other expansions to 76300 Arkham Asylum that have surfaced online since the reveal drastically expand the footprint of the modular model, including by combining it with another LEGO Arkham Asylum set.
Let_Them_Fly has combined the new build with the retired 10937 Arkham Asylum Breakout to create a huge facility. This custom creation also allows for more than enough room to park a Batmobile inside the grounds of the asylum.
Aggressive_Count9328 has had a similar idea, expanding the width of the asylum, but not with any existing model. Their 9,051-piece expansion is designed to let the official set slot seamlessly between two other buildings to give LEGO Arkham Asylum a richer impression.
The arrival of LEGO 76300 Arkham Asylum has already inspired several expansions from fans, and it will be interesting to see what else enthusiasts do with the build once they've finished putting the set together. You can pick up the latest LEGO superhero modular building now for £269.99 / $299.99 / €299.99.
