New LEGO 75371 Chewbacca images answer the question you’re too scared to ask

There’s only one question we’re all asking about the newly-revealed LEGO Star Wars 75371 Chewbacca – whether you’re prepared to admit it or not – and the official images hold the answer…

The LEGO Group’s latest buildable LEGO Star Wars statue follows in the footsteps of 75255 Yoda and 75318 The Child – but unlike those characters, Chewie is… let’s say ‘sans clothes’. He’s hiding his modesty with more hair than you’d find at a furry convention, but for anyone who’s seen the Wookiee statue outside the LEGO Store at Disney Springs in Orlando, the question remains: does LEGO Chewbacca have a butt?

The official images seemingly go to great pains to conceal that information, as the rear side of 75371 Chewbacca is not shown anywhere on the box or standard product shots. The lifestyle images, however – those shot in-situ, often in the sort of home best described as ‘aspirational’ – tell a different story. And it’s one of the LEGO Group’s continued commitment to anatomical accuracy.

A single close-up shot of Chewbacca’s satchel reveals that, yes, the Wookiee does indeed have a buildable butt. It’s not quite as ‘dummy thicc’ as the life-size statue’s posterior, but it’s definitely there. Even if it is out of focus in this image.

So, there you have it. Mystery solved. You can go about your business, pretending you never cared whether LEGO Chewie had a LEGO butt in the first place – but we’ll know. After all, you’ve read this far…
