Some UK stores are already selling the LEGO 71039 Marvel Series 2 collection, ahead of the official September 1 release date.
LEGO fans in the UK can already get their hands on the upcoming 71039 Marvel Series 2, with at least one retail chain already selling the collection earlier than anticipated. We visited our local ASDA superstore today and saw multiple boxes of the minifigures on display and available for purchase, despite the official release date not being until September 1.

A number of fan theories have already been put forward with various methods for identifying what might be found inside each mystery box, although our experience was completely different.
We picked up three 71039 Marvel Series 2 boxes, each of which is surprisingly smaller than might be expected. The packaging for the minifigures has a unique code number located next to the main barcode, which some believe can be used to work out which character may be lurking inside.
However, upon opening up each box, we soon realised that the numbers didn’t correspond with any of the suggested methods put forward to date. What we ended up with was Mr Knight (42953 - 3847), Moon Knight (130S3 - 6194) and Hawkeye (330S3 - 14025), but their unique serial numbers failed to match up with the most-recent way of potentially identify codes.
Despite the seemingly random numbering system for obtaining 71039 Marvel Series 2, we’re already impressed with the three minifigures we managed to pick up so far. Inside each box are all the pieces you’ll need to construct the characters (plus a few spare parts), along with a black display stand, a clear element to simulate action poses and a paper checklist with instructions on the reverse.
Mr Knight has a unique print on the front and back of his head and torso, with two silver fighting sticks and a printed goldfish tank. Moon Knight comes with impressive dual-moulded legs, front and back torso and arm printing, a white cloth cape, a new printed hood piece, plus scarab beetle and throwing dart accessories. In addition, the character has mummified and alternate Marc Spector faces. Finally, Hawkeye has two different face prints, front and back torso prints, a quiver, a bow and arrow and a small owl figure.
71039 Marvel Series 2 will be officially released on September 1 with each minifigure priced at £3.49 / $4.99 / €3.99.
