LEGO 41839 Message Board is worse than you think

Initial reactions to LEGO 41839 Message Board were not particularly positive, but with the set in hand, we can now confirm that it is… actually even worse than you first thought.

Dismissed as ‘sad beige LEGO for sad beige children’ when first revealed earlier this month, 41839 Message Board serves up a bunch of buildable letters with which to create a sign that says anything you like. Whether it’s ‘live, laugh, LEGO’ or ‘home your is bricks where are’, the possibilities are pretty much endless – as long as you like white and dark tan pieces.

We’ve now got an advance copy of 41839 Message Board in hand to put through its paces, and while you can check out our written review here, you’re also going to want to tune into Matthew’s video review. Fair play to him: he’s come at it with the assumption that every LEGO set has an audience somewhere, and even if one set isn’t for you, another one will be.

But 41839 Message Board just isn’t for anyone. See why that is by hitting play on the video below, and make sure to stick around to the end for Brick Fanatics’ new YouTube sign-off. (Disclaimer: this may or may not be used in future videos. Probably not.)

41839 Message Board launches August 1 for LEGO Insiders and August 4 for everyone else for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. Subscribe to the Brick Fanatics YouTube channel for more of the latest LEGO news and reviews – unlike this set, our next video does actually have something for everyone…

You can support the work that Brick Fanatics does by purchasing your LEGO (other LEGO, not this set) using our affiliate links – thank you!
