What is likely to be the next LEGO VIP Add-On Pack has been officially revealed, indicating that Christmas is finally coming to the GWP subtheme.
After eight LEGO VIP Add-On Packs, which should ideally be renamed LEGO Insiders Add-On Packs, one explicitly based on Christmas is coming. 40609 Christmas Fun VIP Add-On Pack has surfaced with an image on the LEGO Group's certification page.
These packs usually contain around 100 pieces and 40609 Christmas Fun VIP Add-On Pack has everything from the classic single-piece trees to a Santa hat and even a turkey. Other elements are harder to identify given the quality of the image.
While this is the first Christmas VIP Add-On Pack, it's not the first sign of the season in the gifts-with-purchase as it follows a Santa hat in 40607 Summer Fun VIP Add-On Pack. 40514 Winter Wonderland VIP Add-On Pack is also notably comparable for being set at the same time of year.
While we don't have any specific details of when the GWP will be offered and for what threshold, the past entries into the range suggest that it should be free with orders of £45 / $50 / €50 and the theme of it makes it appropriate for Christmas, so a deal in November or December would make sense.
