2K Games has announced that arcade racer LEGO 2K Drive will be removed from digital storefronts later this week, ahead of online servers being turned off at a later date.
Despite only launching in 2023, a notice on digital storefronts including the Steam store and PlayStation store states that LEGO 2K Drive will ‘no longer be available for purchase’ as of May 19, 2026.
That’s just four days from now, so time is of the essence if you want to add this one to your backlog. Once you’ve purchased and downloaded it you should still be able to play it even after it’s delisted from stores.
You’ll only have a year left to play online, however, as the kart racer’s servers will be going offline on May 31, 2027. Most of what the game has to offer – including exploring its various open worlds and building your own cars – is thankfully playable without an internet connection, but you won’t be able to take part in multiplayer races after that date.
2K Games hasn’t specified a reason for the sudden delisting of LEGO 2K Drive, which probably means licensing agreements are to blame (though we can’t say for sure). The LEGO Group has yet to partner with 2K Games for any further titles, and the publisher’s football-themed follow-up 2K Gooooal! never materialised as expected.
