The LEGO Group’s foray into Formula 1 continues with the detailed and authentic 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher.

Following on from 2024’s 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna and 2025’s 10353 Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell is the latest in the series of all-time classic Formula 1 car-and-driver combinations in the form of 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher. For just how engrossing and fun both the McLaren and Williams sets have been, expectations for this Ferrari are high. Pleasingly, we can say that this set very much delivers.

Whilst somewhat inevitable that we’d be welcoming a Schumacher Ferrari to this particular collection from LEGO Icons, it is no less a fresh addition to the line-up. Indeed, at a glimpse and certainly for less seasoned F1 fans, 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna and 10353 Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell are relatively similar in design, thanks in no small part to being based on cars only four years apart on the road (1988 for the McLaren, 1992 for the Williams).

In contrast sits the Ferrari F2004. This is a car that advances F1 chassis and aerodynamic design 12 years down the line and aside from anything else it makes for a very different F1 car to build, from the longer nose and shorter rear end around the engine cover across a shorter wheelbase, to the broader, lower look of the bodywork around the engine intakes and the chunkier, wider front wing.

Most notable to cars of this particular era and very much prominent on the Ferrari are those long, swooping dips in the rear bodywork just in front of the rear wheels. It’s the inclusion of such facets that see 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher maintain the same level of attention to detail and intuitive LEGO techniques worked into the model as both the McLaren and Williams, whilst clearly, absolutely enjoying what is fresh source material.

And much like the McLaren MP4/4 and Williams Racing FW14B, the choice of the Ferrari F2004 is spot on for such a series of elite F1 cars. The 50th Formula 1 car built by Ferrari, the F2004 marked the pinnacle of both Ferrari and Schumacher’s dominance of the sport at that time and is still heralded to this day as one of the sport’s fastest ever.

It won 15 of the season’s 18 races, with Schumacher taking 13 of those including a then-record seven in a row (as well as 12 of the first 13 races of the season), and new (and longstanding) lap records set at multiple tracks, all in a season when the FIA had banned the use of launch control and fully automatic gear boxes putting more of the driving onus back on to the driver. The F2004 won Ferrari’s sixth Constructors’ Championship in a row, and Schumacher’s fifth Drivers’ Championship in a row; his joint-record seventh and final one in a glittering career.

This Ferrari F1 car and that Ferrari F1 driver are among the sport’s most iconic and that status alone makes 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher such an absorbing and interesting LEGO set to build. Details throughout the build speak to the design and ingenuity of the real-life car, and they make for a LEGO experience that feels like a true and worthy celebration of it. There are a fair few stickers and these will require careful hands to apply, but they are wholly necessary to add a plethora of sponsors from the time and add to the authentic nature of this model.

The ability to remove the engine cover for a peek underneath is the same as both the McLaren and Williams before, as is the working steering and angled display stand for the car. Unique to this one, though, are the grooved Bridgestone tyres and, of course, the Michael Schumacher minifigure. We’ve had Schumacher before in minifigure form, but this is the most detailed design across the race suit, helmet and even unique expression.

And we’ve had LEGO Ferrari F1 cars in the past too, stretching way back beyond Speed Champions’ 2015 debut. Indeed, for those old enough to remember, 8386 Ferrari F1 Racer released in the same year as the F2004, whilst 1998’s 2556 Ferrari Formula 1 Racing Car may be from right before Ferrari began their trajectory towards this car, but it does feel like a precursor to the current LEGO Icons line, albeit from decades ago.

Those are just two of the notable examples of larger-scale Ferrari F1 cars that the LEGO Group has produced over the years that altogether make for a deep and impressive collection, and one that 2026’s 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher takes its place within as one of the best yet.

Because of what LEGO Icons have done with 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna and 10353 Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell and because of exactly how equally iconic the source material this time around is, 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher releases with high expectations to meet. And meet them it has, in very many ways, even with consideration to the sting of the £10 price increase here, compared to the previous two cars in this series.
