A third legacy Formula 1 driver has been immortalised in LEGO Icons, with the reveal of 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher.
Joining 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna and 10353 Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell, the next LEGO Icons Formula 1 set has been revealed as 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher. The 735-piece set is due to launch on March 1, retailing at £79.99 in the UK, $89.99 in the US, and €89.99 in Europe.
That's a £10 / $10 / €10 increase on the previous two LEGO Icons cars, despite being roughly the same size. Indeed, the blueprint seems to have stayed much the same, with a similarly scaled car, driver minifigure of Schumacher, a trophy, and a quote plaque and stand.
There's a marked difference in the car itself, however, with 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher recreating a different era of Formula 1. Where 10330 and 10353 were based on cars that were on the track just four years apart, 11375 came along more than a decade later in 2004.
The difference in design from those years is clear in the design of its LEGO counterpart, with a much slimmer silhouette and marked differences in the rear wing and side pods compared to the first two LEGO Icons Formula 1 cars. 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher features working steering, grooved slick tyres and a detailed V10 engine.
