Jazz up your boring work video calls with this incredible LEGO hack

A genius LEGO fan has come up with the perfect way to jazz up those boring work video calls.

The pandemic has forced vast numbers of people to work from home. And that means vast numbers of video calls. You know the sort – they start with the best of intentions, but then drag on much longer than intended, preventing you from actually getting anything done.

Fortunately, one LEGO fan has the solution. And all it takes is a handful of basic LEGO bricks, plus your favourite minifigures. Wolf Brüning tweeted an image of his ingenious design, which hooks over your laptop or computer monitor to replace your face with a LEGO character.

Next time you're asked to hop on a video call, then, just swap in a LEGO minifigure. Nobody will notice the difference. (Probably.) And it will also save you the trouble of making sure you look presentable on camera, which nobody really wants to bother with when they're working in their pyjamas.

Of course, your mileage may vary depending on your boss's sense of humour. Brick Fanatics assumes no responsibility for any disciplinary action you might incur as a result. But if they share your love of LEGO, they'll hopefully understand.
