This year’s LEGO Star Wars line-up wraps up in October with
The 383-piece set recreates 7667 Imperial Dropship and 7668 Rebel Scout Speeder, which were the very first original trilogy-era battle packs and included four minifigures apiece. This remake bundles both sets into one box and trims each faction down to three characters, then adds on QT-KT, the seventh and final LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigure released in 2024 sets.
The Shadow Stormtrooper from the 2008 set (and its 2019 remake 75262 Imperial Dropship – 20th Anniversary Edition) is absent altogether now, but you do get three regular Stormtroopers and three Rebel Fleet Troopers. It’s another way to amass armies of these generic soldiers beyond 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV, and here you won’t end up with tonnes of Darth Vader, Captain Antilles and ARC Trooper Fives. Instead you’ll get a battalion of pink astromech droids. Cute.
Combining army-building potential with nostalgia seems like a recipe for a sell-out set, so don’t expect this one to receive any discounts to shift surplus stock (a fate that ultimately befell last year’s sequel trilogy set).
