More images of LEGO Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass GWP

A full product listing for the upcoming LEGO Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass is now online, giving us a closer look at the Black Pearl’s exclusive gift-with-purchase.

Anyone who picks up 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship from September 12 to 18 (or while stocks last) will receive 5009609 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass as an added bonus. The product page for the LEGO Icons set gave us an initial look at the freebie earlier this week, but we’ve now got full details on and more images of the brick-built compass thanks to LEGO.com.

The model comes in the yellow-bordered packaging we’ve previously seen for GWPs such as 5009015 Cerebro (gifted with 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion) and 5009325 The Simpsons Living Room (bundled alongside 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger). There are no minifigures exclusive or otherwise included, which is handy for anyone who can’t drop £299.99 / $379.99 / €349.99 on the Black Pearl on day one.

There’s a decent chance the rotating directional dial inside the compass is printed though, so you won’t necessarily be able to assemble this one-for-one from your existing parts collection. The 151-piece build also includes a domed top and string lanyard, and can open and close just like Jack’s compass in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. But unlike the on-screen tool, it probably won’t show you your heart’s greatest desire.

The product page claims the final model measures 20cm tall, 15cm wide and 26cm deep, but somehow we don’t think this is going to outstrip the depth of a 32x32 baseplate, so… those are probably wrong.
