LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is available now for Deluxe Edition players, and early estimates are already in on how long it’ll take you to complete the game.
The Deluxe Edition of TT Games’ latest title – which arrives four years on from LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga – offers 72-hour early access ahead of its wide launch on Friday, and while it encompasses almost every era of Bat-history, it sounds a little less daunting than its predecessor from a galaxy far, far away.

According to VGC, completing LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’s 22 story missions will take roughly 13 hours if you’re just breezing through them at a regular pace. An average playthrough of the game – which consists of the story mode and a few extra activities, presumably in the open world – will take around 16 hours in total.
If you’re hoping to explore everything the game has to offer and collect every single unlockable (which, let’s face it, is the driving force of TT’s LEGO video games), you can apparently expect to spend somewhere in the region of 50 hours with LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
Which is longer: LEGO Batman 4 or LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga?

For comparison’s sake, completing LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s main story mode takes around 19 hours, while unlocking every last collectible to reach 100% requires roughly 90 hours of solid gameplay.
While you might not be getting as much bang for your buck from a collectible perspective with the Dark Knight, the meat of the game – the story missions – isn’t far off. Anyone who felt burned out on the Skywalker Saga’s endless collectathon may also feel a little relief seeing those Bat-numbers.
You can start your 50-hour journey today if you’ve ordered the Deluxe Edition, while the Standard Edition will launch on Friday, May 22.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC at launch, while a Nintendo Switch 2 version is slated to follow somewhere down the line.
