LEGO DC’s March 2026 wave includes a trio of new Batmobiles, but do two of them manage to improve upon previous iterations of the vehicles?
A fresh line-up of LEGO DC sets is due to drop on March 1, 2026 in the shape of 76330 Batman Logo, 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile, 76332 The Batman Batmobile and
76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile comparison
For starters, 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile offers an updated take on 2016's 76045 Kryptonite Interception (and the same vehicle in 2017's 76087 Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack) with a much more accurate version of the movie ride, which itself is quite a tricky design to recreate in brick form. The build includes fewer elements and a lower price point than that of the 2016 release (which did also include a secondary forklift vehicle), coming in at £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 for 220 pieces.

That improved look is mostly achieved thanks to 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile’s numerous grey elements, which echo the film vehicle’s matte grey colour scheme. The heavily-armoured shape of the Batmobile is also reflected in its many sharp angled plates, front wheel guards, new printed canopy element and much chunkier tyres.
Despite only being slightly reduced in height compared to the previous vehicle, that squeezing of its size really benefits 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile, making the vehicle look as if it’s a sleek animal crouching down and hugging the road, ready to pounce on any unsuspecting criminals foolish enough to wander across its path.
In addition, 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile loses the dual front stud shooters (although tiny guns are still there), Bat-logo bonnet sticker, three-way opening cockpit and spring-loaded forklift side build that were included with the 2016 take on the crimefighting vehicle, gaining instead an overall more refined and monochromatic look, as previously discussed by the LEGO Batman design team.
Those adjustments even apply to 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile’s cramped cockpit, a section of the vehicle that has new sticker details and a hidden printed pearl gold LEGO Batman 20th anniversary coin inside.
When it comes to 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile’s minifigure selection, out goes 76045 Kryptonite Interception’s two Lexcorp Henchmen, along with Batman’s dark grey suit with gold belt, and in comes a version of Batfleck that much more closely mirrors its onscreen counterpart, although there’s no Superman minifigure as part of the release.
That minifigure update includes a stubbled face with two different prints that we've previously seen in a number of LEGO Marvel sets, a gun metal grey cowl with white eyes, new torso and leg printing that add a dash of silver into the vigilante’s armoured appearance, plus bulky dark grey shoulder armour.
Also gone is the standard scalloped Bat-cape with five points that 76045 Kryptonite Interception’s Batman minifigure wore, this time replaced with a slightly longer cloth accessory that makes its debut in the LEGO DC set.
As a bonus, 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile also comes with a unique code to access an in-game version of the vehicle and a golden variant in the upcoming LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, perfect for those looking to obtain a full collection of digital cars.
The overall result is a version of the LEGO Batmobile that more closely matches the look of its live-action source material, with a lean, mean brick-built machine worthy of being the Dark Knight’s ride, along with its brooding minifigure hero. 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile delivers on all accounts with an accurate and affordable model, one that successfully builds and improves on 76045 Kryptonite Interception no end.
76332 The Batman Batmobile comparison

The Bat-signal now shines its spotlight on 76332 The Batman Batmobile, as featured in Matt Reeves’ 2022 film and starring Robert Pattinson as Gotham City’s self-appointed guardian. The movie vehicle represents a custom-built muscle car with a powerful engine, based on a 1970s Dodge Charger and Plymouth Barracuda aesthetic, one that has already inspired a couple of LEGO DC sets.
In addition to the LEGO Technic 42127 The Batman – Batmobile and 30455 Batmobile polybag, the LEGO DC theme also delivered 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase in 2021, a 383-piece build that includes two minifigures and was priced at £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 at retail.
That set was aimed squarely at a younger demographic and lacks many authentic details, with our review of the LEGO DC model noting that the more complex and subtle Batmobile design just couldn’t translate into a brick-built form at a lower age range, and that the set suffers from a huge quality gap compared to previous Bat-vehicles.
Fast forward five years and what a difference time can make. 76332 The Batman Batmobile trumps that previous build in almost every way, delivering a much sleeker, accurate and more satisfying car, with a model that proves to be more than a match for its big screen cousin, despite coming in at the exact same price point with only a handful fewer pieces.
Measuring over 18cm long, 8cm wide and 5cm high, 76332 The Batman Batmobile’s slight size reduction when compared to 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase is actually to its advantage, subtly reshaping the contours of the car to more closely align with the original movie version.
Those refinements continue with the Batmobile’s gently curving bonnet (which is removable and covers up another pearl gold LEGO Batman 20th anniversary coin), souped-up visible front engine section with trans-red pieces, sloped grille, a longer cockpit area, more impressive fins, additional details added to the car’s powerful rear engine and stickered hubcaps.
Instead of a family-friendly take on the vehicle, 76332 The Batman Batmobile instead dispenses with the previous LEGO DC set’s two spring-loaded shooters and trans-light blue exhaust elements, opting instead to use each of its 330 pieces sparingly in order to achieve the desired appearance of the menacing car.
The loss of any play features in the car has already been flagged up by the LEGO DC team, with designer Tin Nguen stating that the previous The Batman Batmobile 'had a play feature, but that added an extra layer of complexity, so we decided to focus on different things in the new set'. Senior LEGO Designer Adam Grabowski added: "We didn’t put shooters on these new sets and focused on one minifigure only.”
76332 The Batman Batmobile still has room inside for a minifigure-scale cockpit though, as well as a nice finishing touch in the shape of a silver gearstick using a bar holder with handle element, with the roof of the car being a smooth 6x6 tile that lacks any annoying injection mark in the centre.
Those same shiny pieces also show up in 76332 The Batman Batmobile’s large rear engine, a section of the build that really helps emphasise the muscle car origins of the vehicle, hinting at the raw unbridled power bristling behind its sinister exterior.
As with 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile and
In fact, we’ve already seen this particular suit in action thanks to LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight footage, with the minifigure’s grey torso and legs now enhanced with new printing that adds a dash of yellow into the mix, a ragged Bat chest symbol and a more serious double-sided Battinson head print than the cheerier version that was included in 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase.
That attention to detail continues with the character’s dual-moulded black boots, with the result being the most desirable iteration of The Batman to date and a quality minifigure that deserves to be made available in many more LEGO DC sets going forward.
As with the rest of the March 2026 wave of models, 76332 The Batman Batmobile receives its own QR code for obtaining the build’s vehicle in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, as well as a golden version, representing the only way to get hold of the unique rides.
With 76332 The Batman Batmobile, the LEGO DC design team has revisited and refined its approach to the Dark Knight’s muscle car, and the result is a solid upgrade. The set completely nails its screen-to-model translation, ditching unnecessary frills and functions to distil the essence of this Batmobile into its purest form. The result is a very satisfying build that perfectly nails its source material and deserves a place in every fan's LEGO Batcave.

Both 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile and 76332 The Batman Batmobile are available to pre-order right now, with the LEGO DC sets scheduled to launch on March 1, 2026.
