If you’re in the market for a complete set of LEGO 71048 Series 27 minifigures, there are two different ways to guarantee collecting all 12 characters.
71048 Series 27 officially hits shelves on January 1 (although has already started turning up in some stores around the world), introducing 12 new and original LEGO minifigures to the fold. If you’re the type of collector who aims for a complete set of each Collectible Minifigures series, there are – as has been the case for the past couple of series – two easy ways to ensure you catch them all.
The first is heading over to The Minifigure Store, where you can currently pre-order either a single set of 12 minifigures or a retail case of 36 blind boxes. You’ll pay £59.99 (which takes you over the minimum £50 threshold for free delivery) for a set of 12, which is slightly higher than buying them individually, but The Minifigure Store will do the hard work for you and guarantee that you’ll get one of each minifigure in Series 27.
That means they’ll arrive opened and without boxes in order to verify their contents, but if you were only going to recycle the packaging anyway then this could be an easy way to ensure you get all 12 without having to go out to the shops. A case of 36 blind boxes, meanwhile – which should contain three complete sets, though there is a margin for error – costs £124.95.
It’s clearly more cost-effective to buy more minifigures, as that works out at just £41.65 per series (or cheaper than buying 12 minifigures individually). That’s good news if you’re either after multiples of Series 27 minifigures or can split a box between friends or family. The Minifigure Store says that these new Collectible Minifigures will ship by January 15, 2025.

If you’d like to get your hands on them sooner and enjoy the thrill of the hunt, the other way to guarantee getting all 12 minifigures is of course to use Brick Search’s new and improved minifigure scanner. You can now scan as many as seven boxes at once with instant, in-camera results, record your total number of scans and add minifigures to your collection straight from the scanner, so you can keep track of which ones you already have.
Download Brick Search on iOS or Android before heading out in search of Series 27 and give the scanner a go, then join Brick Search Plus from only £1.99 / $2.99 to unlock unlimited use of the minifigure scanner, which also works without an internet connection (handy when your local LEGO Store is immune to mobile data reception). Head here to find out more about everything the new scanner can do.
