Five of Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO sets are retiring in 2025

Five of Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO sets are retiring in 2025

Five of Brick Fanatics’ current Top 20 LEGO sets are retiring in 2025, with several already sold out – and two more are scheduled to leave shelves by next summer…

Our Top 20 LEGO sets list tracks our picks for the very best products available right now at LEGO.com, in LEGO Stores and through third-party retailers. Included are heavy hitters such as 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell and 76269 Avengers Tower, alongside sets you might have overlooked or forgotten like 31154 Forest Animals: Red Fox and 21350 Jaws – but there’s not long left to get your hands on a quarter of the list.

Five of the current top 20 sets are on the way out in 2025, including the fifth-best set around right now in 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle. Or not around, as the case may be: that one sold out in most if not all regions during LEGO Insiders Weekend, and given the number of orders that have been cancelled it seems unlikely that it’ll be back for this weekend’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday event.

Also sold out in many regions are 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City and 31154 Forest Animals: Red Fox, which is perhaps no surprise given that like the castle, both sets enjoyed substantial discounts at LEGO.com over LEGO Insiders Weekend. You might still be able to find at least the Creator 3-in-1 fox through third-party retailers, however (it’s available at Amazon UK at the time of writing for 25% off).

And there’s still time to order both 21344 The Orient Express Train and 21335 Motorised Lighthouse from the official online store, both of which are included in our Top 20 LEGO sets list and both of which are retiring in 2025. Either set would make for a fine display piece (if you have the right horizontal or vertical space respectively) and we wouldn’t be surprised to see them discounted this weekend, although the LEGO Group has yet to officially confirm its additional Black Friday 2025 discounts.

Finally, both 21350 Jaws and 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition are scheduled to retire by July 31, 2026, so will be next to disappear from the Top 20. Gringotts is currently 20% off at LEGO.com as part of this year’s LEGO Insiders Weekend/Black Friday offers, though is back ordered to January 2 in the UK and sold out altogether in the US. Given it’s not retiring until July, there’s every chance it will come back stateside – but perhaps not before the current sale ends on December 1.
