First look at LEGO NINJAGO Legends 2026 reviews

The first reviews for the LEGO NINJAGO Legends summer 2026 sets have surfaced, giving us a closer look at their contents and overall quality.

LEGO YouTuber Bricks by Mind has received the three LEGO NINJAGO Legends summer 2026 sets early for review, offering a preview of them before they are released in just over a week on June 1.

The three Legends models include 71870 The Twin Titan Mechs, 71871 Battle at the Dragon's Blade and 71872 Ultra Dragon Battle, all of which vary in size and price. The YouTuber's review of 71870 The Twin Titan Mechs is highly positive, praising the posing options, the minifigures and the fact that they finally finish the Titan Mech collection.

The impressions of 71871 Battle at the Dragon's Blade aren't quite as positive, stating that the display-centric model is too focused on that display value. They find that there's not enough to interact with in the set or remove to use in other areas of NINJAGO.

It's similar to 71847 The Guardian Dragon in that respect, which is built into the rockwork and fully static. 71846 The Fire Knight Mech, on the other hand, can be removed from its base and used as a standard mech model.

Their review of 71872 Ultra Dragon Battle has a similar conclusion. Their love of play-centred NINJAGO sets means they walked away unimpressed with the static nature of the models. While NINJAGO Legends does appear to be a display-centric range, it's not something that meets their personal desires.

They state that, despite their impression, the builds are well-designed and there are some great sculptures, but their desire for a set of this calibre based on the original battle between the Ultra Dragon and Great Devourer muddy their review of the model.
