First LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 27 rumours include Castle, Pirates and more

A first list of rumoured characters included in LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 27 has landed online, featuring Castle, Pirates, steampunk and more.

71047 Dungeons & Dragons has only just arrived on shelves, but the first word on what’s next from the LEGO Minifigures team is already here courtesy of exabrickslegogo_. While this isn’t the most trustworthy source at the moment, redditor Clay_Bricks – a more reliable and independent source of LEGO rumours – has republished the list, giving it a little more weight in the rumour community.

It’s still worth taking this line-up lightly, but if it does turn out to be true, Series 27 is already shaping up to be another noteworthy series for vintage LEGO collectors. The first two minifigures are said to be a Wolfpack Beastmaster, presumably tying into the LEGO Castle faction that returned in this year’s 10332 Medieval Town Square, and Pirate Quartermaster, which will set sail just as 10320 Eldorado Fortress retires.

That’s presuming Series 27 is due to hit shelves January 1, 2025, and that’s a reasonably safe guess given the recent release pattern of LEGO Collectible Minifigures (which has seen new series drop in January, May and September for the past few years). The rest of the line-up is rounded out by costumed characters, sports and animal-focused minifigures, and several fresh ideas (see the Steampunk Inventor for one).

We’ll likely be waiting a little while for the first images of the next blind-boxed LEGO Collectible Minifigures series, but there’s enough here to get the imagination going. Fingers crossed the LEGO Group sticks with the scannable data matrix codes it’s tested on boxes in 2024 as we head into next year, for both Series 27 and the rumoured LEGO Formula 1 Collectible Minifigures series in May.
