The first LEGO Marvel Galactus and Fantastic Four set is now on shelves, and not everyone likes the execution, but there's an alternative style.

Galactus follows in the footsteps of Ant-Man, who has gone from being depicted as a massive minifigure in LEGO Marvel to a buildable figure. This is the new standard for LEGO Marvel, and Galactus has followed suit. While big minifigure Ant-Man only appeared in a single set, some in the community were hoping that Galactus would go down the alternative path.
Thankfully for them, you can turn Galactus into a matching upscaled minifigure using only parts from the set, and MadsEmilSchou is here to explain how. The fan has shared instructions for the alternate build on Rebrickable for the relatively low price of $1.99.
Their design keeps the head from
It's an excellent effort from MadsEmilSchou, but note that it will reduce the height of the figure from 28cm to 15.5cm. It only uses around half of the set's 427 pieces, and nothing extra.
A provided picture demonstrates how the redesigned Galactus looks in a city scene, and it still functions well enough for those who would prefer the minifigure design over that of the buildable figure.
