Tucked away inside one of this summer’s LEGO Editions sets is a previously unseen, brand new and exclusive goat piece.
Since the goat returned to shelves in 2024’s 71045 Series 25 (in white) and 10332 Medieval Town Square (in grey), the furore around the original animal figure has mostly died down. The lesser-spotted spotted version still fetches a pretty penny on the aftermarket, but goat fever isn’t what it once was – until now, anyway. Hiding inside 43018 Lionel Messi – Celebration is a new and exclusive version of the goat.

As revealed by CPAfol, who has his hands on an early copy of the summer LEGO Editions set, the Messi wall art features a knowing Easter egg around the back. Slide away a panel and you’ll reveal a hidden compartment packed with pearl gold elements (presumably representing trophies and medals) – and a white goat printed with light blue markings and Messi’s shirt number.

It’s not necessarily the sort of variant that’s going to get budding LEGO farmers racing to the LEGO Store, but it’s still a pretty cool addition to the stable of LEGO animals. And if you’re wondering why there’s a goat in a Messi set… well, he’s generally regarded as the GOAT (or greatest of all time). Opinions may vary.
43018 Lionel Messi – Celebration debuts on June 1 for £159.99 / $199.99 / €179.99.
